"The overall experience was great, but the lower level underground parking smell was awful. The garbage stored there overflowed the containers and the resulting smell made its way into the elevators. The public areas were not affected by the smell, nor were the rooms. Not a great first impression however."

"The Black Bear Manor is located close to Ouray's main street. The rooms were clean and cozy. The breakfast was good and hearty. The only negative was the Happy Hour wine treat ended 45 minutes early before we could enjoy a glass of wine, we assumed the staff wanted to leave work early, disappointing."

The young man that checked us in was very nice , and helpful with local knowledge and advice. The location was perfect for exploring the beautiful town of Ouray by foot.
