If you can't wait to get to the beach, you might enjoy a trip to Sayulita Beach in the heart of Sayulita. Catch the sunset by the shore at Playa los Muertos, just a short walk away.
If being by the water is a major draw, Playa los Muertos is a spot you might want to check out, located 0.5 mi (0.7 km) from central Sayulita. If you want to continue walking by the waves, head to Sayulita Beach and Patzcuiarito, both within a short walk.

If you like haggling for the best price, you might want to head out to Sayulita Farmers Market in North End and take in the atmosphere. Hotels.com travelers also say the area is family-friendly and has lots of nice beaches.
If being by the water is a major draw, Patzcuiarito is a spot you might want to check out, located 0.8 mi (1.4 km) from central Sayulita. Catch the sunset by the shore at Playa los Muertos, just a short walk away.
Catch a wave at the bustling main beach where surfers of all levels ride Pacific swells beneath golden sunsets. Cobblestone streets wind through this former backpacker haven, now buzzing with bohemian energy yet still maintaining its small-town soul. The central plaza pulses with life as vendors at Sayulita Farmers Market offer local treasures. Playa los Muertos provides a quieter alternative when the main beach gets crowded. Whale watching tours depart regularly during migration season, offering close encounters with magnificent marine mammals. After dark, beachfront bars serve fresh fish tacos and potent margaritas as barefoot patrons dance to live music. Despite growing popularity, this coastal gem balances tourism with authentic Mexican charm in a way few places manage.
My family really enjoyed staying at La Puesta. The views are spectacular, we loved waking up to see and hear the ocean everyday. The rooms were spacious, clean and nicely curated. My kids (7&9) loved the pool and slide. The staff were super friendly and accommodating, and the location was perfect because it was quiet, away from the noise of the town center, but a convenient 10 minute walk (or couple minute golf cart) ride into town. Definitely recommend and would consider staying here again.
What a place!
I have stayed at many other nice and fancy places and nothing compares to this place.
Grand Vellas is on a whole other level. The service is amazing. Eric Santana was amazing! He was our concierge.
Two of their restaurants should be michelin rated. Thats how good they are!!!
I could go on and on about all of the little things that made this place great but less is more for anyone that reads this.
Even their kids club is amazing! So safe and clean. The way it's not...
I stayed there for 9 days with my fiancé . The customer service was excellent ,the room was clean, and well kept. The neighborhood is very upscale and quiet. There is a pharmacy ,a bar ,and a store (Oxxo) right next door to the hotel so everything is close by if you need to stock up on beer or other drinks and hit the beach. Also ,the Hotel is a great place to get a good night sleep. A Big Thank you Vallarta Live Hotel !
We enjoyed our stay and couldn't have picked a better spot! We walked everywhere and the area was safe. The only thing we didn't like was breakfast- there are better places around for breakfast if you are vegetarian or vegan.
We just spent five nights at Siete Lunas and can't speak highly enough about what a good experience we had. It is set away from downtown a bit, which is what we wanted since town can get a little crazy. Retreating to the hotel was a breath of air every time we returned from an excursion. It's a short, easy walk to Playa de los Muertos, a smaller, less busy beach. And another short walk to the main beach and downtown.
Adrian, the manager, is so friendly and nice. He was consistently attentive,...
Super sick time there. Never been to mexico and my 2nd time to a hostel. The atmosphere was really chill, inviting and a great place to meet people from around the world. Would highly recommend especially for a solo traveler to make friends!
This property was great. Clean, high quality, ocean view, everything we hoped it would be. The only problem we had was the hot water going out four times followed by a few attempts in communication with follow up.
We loved staying in Ysuri hotel in Sayulita. Very pleasant and kind staff. Rodrigo was always ready to go above and beyond ensuring our stay is amazing. We are beyond grateful for him arranging our ride in golf cart to bus station. We will be back for sure.
A few recommendations for other fellow travelers. While in US- download application WhatsApp. Phone Service in Sayulita sucks, if you need getting hold of hotel personnel they use the app. All you need is mediocre data or WiFi. Arranging...
I was here for three nights in February 2024 and had an enjoyable stay. The front desk team of Joseph and Neo were friendly and supportive. The room was spacious and the shower was huge and divine. I also liked the rooftop pool as an escape from the town when I needed it. I recommend this place if you want a nice hotel near the downtown of Sayulita. It kind of felt like an oasis in the busy town.
Amazing.
Perhaps in the warmer months staying in the none wood cabin rooms AC would be able to beat the heat.
Beach access across the street east to miss. O
When we stayed at this brand new hotel the first part of November, it was still getting some finishing touches. That said, it was still an incredible stay. The staff was outstanding. Sayeg, the hotel's front desk and on the ground contact point attended to our every need. The rest of the staff greeted us by name and always asked if we were in need of anything. The room was large, appointed in contemporary, vibrant and locally made furnishings with a full kitchen. The central courtyard/pool...
