Half Moon Bay's crescent shoreline hugs turquoise waters where colorful dive boats and glass-bottom vessels float above vibrant coral. Thatched-roof bars line the sand with swaying hammocks between palm trees, creating the perfect tropical escape. Snorkel right off the beach or hop on a boat to world-class dive sites just minutes away. Fresh seafood and Caribbean fusion dishes dominate the beachfront restaurants where you can dig into conch fritters with your toes in the sand. Resorts offer everything from infinity pools to dive centers, while walkable beach paths connect you to souvenir shops selling local crafts and jewelry.

Orchid Beach Village
Orchid Beach Village offers the Caribbean dream without emptying your wallet. Dive shops line the waterfront where snorkelers splash through crystal-clear turquoise waters just steps from shore. White sandy beaches invite lazy afternoons, while Garifuna drumming creates the soundtrack to your island escape. Beachfront paths connect you to nearby Half Moon Bay and Gumbalimba Park. Budget travelers thrive here with affordable seafood comedores serving fresh catches and local baleadas. Most visitors simply walk the compact village or rent golf carts to explore Roatan's attractions. Water taxis connect to neighboring beaches when you're ready for a change of scenery.
Sunnyside
Sandy Bay's Sunnyside offers a perfect slice of Caribbean bliss without breaking the bank. Powdery white sand beaches and crystal-clear turquoise waters create a stunning backdrop for snorkeling right off the shore. The scenic waterfront promenade lined with swaying palms provides easy access to the reef. Local craft vendors and souvenir shops offer authentic Roatan treasures at prices lower than nearby tourist spots. Budget-friendly guesthouses and small beachfront hotels provide cozy accommodations with genuine island hospitality. Golf carts and water taxis make getting around a breeze, connecting you to West End and West Bay when you're ready to explore more of the island.

Lighthouse Estates
Lighthouse Estates offers a secluded slice of Caribbean paradise with direct access to Roatan's pristine beaches and coral reefs. Luxury vacation villas feature infinity pools and expansive windows that frame those postcard-worthy turquoise views. Just minutes away, Tabyana Beach beckons with soft sands while the underwater wonderland practically begs you to grab a snorkel and make some fish friends. Getting around requires wheels—rent a car or zip along in a golf cart like the cool kids do. When hunger strikes, most villas come with full kitchens, or you can venture a short drive to nearby restaurants. The vibe here is all about privacy, peace, and that sweet ocean breeze that makes you forget what day it is.
Lawson Rock
Lawson Rock brings the Caribbean dream to life with pristine beaches and swaying palms right outside your door. This exclusive north shore community offers villa and condo living with resort-style perks like swimming pools, tennis courts, and a private marina. When you're not snorkeling the Mesoamerican Reef, explore nearby Sandy Bay Beach or the Roatan Institute for Marine Sciences. The dining scene centers around upscale resort restaurants where reservations are recommended. Accommodations range from luxury condos to private villas with housekeeping and ocean views. While walkable within its boundaries, you'll need a rental car or golf cart to discover the island beyond this peaceful enclave.

Mr. Tucan Hotel
"The staff was excellent at the hotel. They reached out to us ahead of time to arrange a ride from the airport to the hotel, note that was an extra cost. We had multiple delays getting out of Miami they still had a ride waiting. At the hotel they quickly checked us in and got us settled into our room. One thing to note is that although the staff in the office speak English, not all the staff on premises do. It was a great stay, and we will happily return to Mr. Tucan!"
Roatan Media Luna Resort Affiliated by Meliá
"This resort was beautiful and the staff was friendly and service was beyond appreciated I will recommend this resort to anyone looking to get away & have a relaxing time"
Kimpton Grand Roatan Resort And Spa by IHG
"I love this place! I am Planning next trip to Kimpton!"
Henry Morgan Resort - All Inclusive
"The room was clean but lacking hooks to hang wet/dry clothes. The staff was more than helpful. Food selection was ok."
Arca Boutique Hotel
"Excellent staff, ideal location right off the beach in west bay near everything. Will definitely be returning."
Naboo Resort & Dive Center - Adults Only
"Loved this resort! I was a single, female traveler and had never been to Roatan before. I made the right choice booking Naboo. It had a great location. It was quiet and safe. I appreciated being assigned an upper level room. That added to my feeling of safety. Staff was great, EXCELLENT communication when I had flight cancellation that changed my arrival times and dates. I’d email them a change and they would email back almost immediately. Very accommodating. It made a stressful situation much less stressful. I used their airport transportation option. $25 each way and they were right there waiting when I landed. I wouldn’t hesitate to utilize this if you’re not renting a car. The area is awesome. So much within walking distance. Lots of restaurants, coffee shops, stores, a pharmacy, a medical clinic. The beach is super close, just a quick maybe 2 minute walk. Beach is gorgeous and one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen. If you want a beach chair you can buy a drink or food at the thirsty turtle and use theirs. A couple days I got a day pass at a beach resort and used their amenities for a fee. Other days I just left my stuff on the beach, went snorkeling, swimming and nothing was ever taken. Of course, I brought the bare minimum those days, nothing of value just to be safe. Naboo’s restaurant was really good and drinks were great too. They have a buffet style breakfast included every morning which was really nice. Their pool was beautiful!!"
Caribe Tesoro
"This was a perfect location on the beach, a tiny bit excluded, separate from the other hotels and resorts for privacy and from sellers on the beach but right on the beach and minutes from walking to all the other activity on the beach. Great to sit out on the peer for breakfast, lunch or dinner, 2 bars, one out on the peer to catch a breeze and watch boats going by, The staff was amazing, everyone down to security and groundsmen, really friendly, would go out of their way to accommodate your needs. The room was spacious enough for your things, bathroom shower huge. I just wished it came with a full mirror. That is essential regardless if you are on vacation or not. The breakfast was ok but it was included so that was a plus, I've only been once but I don't think I would want to stay anywhere else. I loved the look of the facility, an island feel to it and the look of it. I preferred to stay somewhere that represented the culture and not something that looked like a hotel. The pool was cute and clean. It was all ocean and that was beautiful again nothing obstruction your view because it was alone but not alone if that makes since, walking paths leading to other parts of the beach, tropical scenary on the property, I loved Caribe Tesoro, rooms clean, temperature perfect in the rooms, I just hope I didn't leave anything out or make it hard for me to book in the future lol I'll be back"
Paradise Beach Resort & Dive Center
"Loved it! I want to go back again soon!"
Anthony's Key Resort
"Anthony’s is a great place for a dive vacation. Their wonderful staff made everything so easy (airport transfer, diving, meals at the resort or in town) that I am glad I chose to stay there on my first visit to Roatan, Honduras."
