"Excellent Hotel, with very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel itself has a quirky layout , as it’s in a very large old mansion house, all of which adds to its charm! The hotel is well kept and is a very clean , well run and well maintained and is within easy walking distance of the town centre and the river. (5-10 mins) . There are a lot of bars and restaurants with variable opening times! There’s parking available in front of the hotel, which is private and convenient. There’s also an excellent restaurant. The room we had was excellent. The bed was very comfortable and the room size was very good, we were also fortunate enough to have a small terrace outside of our balcony doors. The shower was big and the amenities were great. There’s also a fridge in the room as well as tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast offered was relatively limited but was fresh and tasty. We would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again."

"Uncomfortable. Too tiny. Shower drain didn't work & bathroom floor started to flood.Bathroom is the size in a camper van."

"Friendly staff - now familiar faces to us! Clean room, very comfy bed, good shower. Delicious evening meal and breakfast. Wifi and parking free. Good situation for fuel, supermarket and local walks."

"Tout s’est bien déroulé dans l’ensemble, mise à part l’évier qui commence à se boucher dans la chambre 102… le petit déjeuner le mercredi parfait, mais il semblerait que le jeudi problème d’approvisionnement ou de personnel, je ne vais pas rentrer dans les détails mais cela me semblait limite… bref je reviendrai quand même voir si il y a de l’amélioration😉"

"The standard room was slightly cramped and looked and felt a bit tatty décor wise with cheap furniture. You had to ring a phone a phone on the reception desk to gt a reception to come over from the adjoining hotel. Makes you feel inferior to those staying in the adjoining hotel. There only appeared to be one member of staff in the breakfast area which meant tables were often waiting to be cleared and relaid for other guests"
