"The building is a beautiful and charming example of colonial Spanish architecture, complete with two enclosed "courtyards". The complimentary breakfast included eggs with choice of veggies and preparation, yogurt with copious fresh fruit and granola, a selection of fresh breads, fresh squeezed fruit juice, and choice of delicious coffee or hot chocolate. The staff members were very friendly and helpful; most spoke English, all spoke Spanish. The location was within several minutes walking distance of the center of the Historic District (restaurants, cathedrals, museums, markets).Our room was small but we managed nicely with creative use of the closet, bedside tables, and bathroom storage. "

"Great location and can not say enough positives about the staff. Because it is a little dated, there has been a little setting causing all the doors to the rooms to bind and therefore, very noisy. Easy solution is to take the doors off the hinges and sand them down so they close easily without force. The noise definitely will wake you up when your neighbors are going or coming or when you are exiting. "

"A nice quiet getaway about 35 minutes from Cuenca. Surrounded by nature, enabling one to go for walks. It is a family run place and the hosts are very friendly and helpful."

"Our stay was disappointing due to poor professionalism and lack of basic customer service. Staff were not courteous and often appeared annoyed when we made simple requests. We had to repeatedly ask for pillows, and it took five days to receive a working safe. Basic amenities should not require constant follow-up.The jacuzzi takes about 30 minutes to warm up, yet management never informed us. Staff refused to turn it on in advance and would only activate it if we were standing right next to it, making it inconvenient to use.We also observed staff engaging in personal displays of affection in guest areas, which felt inappropriate and unprofessional.Overall, the service was below standard and needs serious improvement.
