"So central, everywhere walkable, which was the main reason to book here. Had old world charm but not keen on leaving our key behind the reception desk every time we went out especially as came back to the hotel a couple of times to find the desk not manned so anyone could have taken a key knowing the residents would not be in that room. No additional chain or bolt on the door which would have made us feel more secure & no safe which would be fairly cheap add ons. The 2 buildings that were attached to the hotel had collapsed recently due to water damage from the canals running under the city, must have been scary for the occupants & hotel residents at the time. We were not aware of this until after we’d checked in & probably wouldn’t have booked had we known as a worry what structural damage there might be to the hotel itself."

"I really liked the hotel location and amenities. It was really confident for my short stay in Lille. The front desk staff was super kind and welcoming. My only complaint is with the cleaning service. Basic etiquette was not followed and I felt harassed by them with how insistent they were on making up the room, even in the day of my checkout. It’s unclear to me why they are not aware which rooms are checking out that day because they acted surprised when I said that. I was suffering from jet lag and had return d to my room to take a short nap before checkout time. I had placed the do not disturb sign, and kept they would not stop knocking. Luckily I learned from the day before and manually locked my door or I’m sure they would have entered again despite me saying I’m in the room. I’m very irritated because unless it’s an emergency, there is no a reason to bang a door down because the guest is not responding and it’s before checkout out time. I think it’s a fair assumption someone could be sleeping or occupied! Anyway you can bet they were back knocking at 11:59am for 12:00pm checkout 💀"

"Nice boutique hotel with an African theme situated perfectly in the centre of town close to restaurants and bars. The eurostar station is only about a 10 minute walk. All the staff were so friendly and helpful especially Sidonie on reception. Our room was spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable with good quality duvet and linen. The air conditioning was lovely and cool which was very welcome as it was 30 degrees outside. The breakfast was varied and plentiful though the hot food was not warm enough. We enjoyed our stay during the Fête de la Musique and would definitely recommend this hotel."
