"this place is a big scam. Double deluxe rooms were so small, beds as described were not there, blankets were dirty and smelly, there was no parking place, why would they advertise parking when there is not even one place available for parking, on top of that they cheat people on a regular basis with key issues. They say you broke the key inside so now you have to pay 1000s of rupees to fix it. so much time each day was wasted. like 2-3 hours trying to get the key to the room fixed. we found...

The room is small, but despite the low price, the room is clean and comes with soap and free water bottles, making it a comfortable stay. The hotel is not facing the road so it is quiet at night. "While convenient for access to the city, the immediate area is not particularly pleasant. However, the hotel, while it provides all that is needed, is a little 'tired' as to its decor. But, the in-house 'pure veg' restaurant and bar is excellent, providing breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff are charming, friendly and efficient. It may not be 5* but gets an A from me. "

"Very nicely welcomed, stayed in room 101, a small suite in the heritage building and everything at 5 star level. Food and drinks was good and serving far above normal Indian level. Only small complaint is that every time we got into our room in the afternoon to take a shower -just after having taking off the clothes off - someone rang the doorbell and asked if we were nereding anything. Chreck-out again smoothly and professionel. Definitely a place we will like to stay next time in Kolkota. "
