"The outside doesn’t look that impressive as you walk up but as soon as you enter it is clean and modern. The room is a little small but well laid out. Air conditioning is available if you want it. There is a club across the parking lot so music on our Friday night stay but quiet after. A beautiful breakfast included. Very much worth it. Easy walk to the cruise port. Would stay here again."

Great historical quaint hotel in the heart of downtown. Close walking distance to all of the city. Would definitely stay here again. Miguel was a great host
Great location for doing things in center of Trieste, Grand Canale and City Plaza. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Nice-sized rooms and great breakfasts in quaint dining area. Parking about two blocks away uphill but in super-nice garage. Highly recommend this hotel.

Nice, clean, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, comfortable bed, good shower, convenient location. Only issue is noisy at nice due to restaurants downstairs.
Wonderful hotel! Our train was late, and the staff waited for us to check in. The room was clean and comfortable. Very close to walk to places. Great family pizza place around the corner! Wish we had more time to explore-Trieste is beautiful! Would highly recommend staying here
The apartment was great, perfect location to everything. The check-in process was very easy and they have an elevator which helped with our heavy luggage. Very clean apartment, comfortable beds. There is a small coffee shop down the alley which sells local coffee and pastries. Perfect stay if you are leaving Trieste on a cruise. I would recommend this location to anyone. Very nice hotel close to many of the wonderful sights and restaurants in Trieste. The breakfast at the hotel was excellent. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. Taxi was very reasonable from the cruise ship and to Trieste airport. You can easily walk from the cruise port but we are older and prefer to take a taxi with big luggage.
The Grand Hotel Duchi d'Aosta opened in 1873 and still has the look of an older era-- but with all necessary updates for comfort. The staff was helpful, the room was comfortable, breakfast was delightful (would have liked to have it outside, but some noisy construction was currently going on), and the hotel feels like it's at the center of things with its location on Piazza Unita' d'Italia. Alas, we only had a day, but I would happily return.
Conveniently located in the middle of the city, a block from the water -- more precisely the Trieste Cruise Terminal. We arrived via train, and it was just a short walk (20 minutes with luggage) from the station. Better yet ... the cruise ship that we would board a couple days later was at that Cruise Terminal -- call it a 5-minute walk from the Hotel! Never mind that the hotel room was well kept -- clean, bathroom, et all. Could not have asked for more! Will definitely return!
Breakfast was great and well worth the money. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. Only negative is the shower as it was not smartly designed to keep the water only in the shower area and ran to the rest of the area of the bathroom.
I was very happy with my stay; the service was great, in particular one man at reception whose name began with a T (sorry I didn't get his full name). He was truly exceptional in offering ideas of things to do, how to get places, and really went out of his way to help. The breakfast was great as well, with great service there as well.
