Having just arrived from a terrible hotel experience in Paris as part of an extended vacation, checking in to Hotel Metropol was a breath of fresh air. All of the staff was friendly, hospitable, and very helpful but the gentlemen who works the front desk in the afternoon was exceptional!! Quick stay but very nice!

Hotel is centrally located to most everything in downtown Munich. The staff is very nice and helpful. Breakfast is very good. The only complaint is that some rooms will require one to lift suitcases up steps. Will stay here again.

Nice hotel, it’s located one block from the river Eisbach, This is the famous artificial channel where surfers ride the standing wave. The only downside is that there was not AC but there was a fan in the room. I’d stay there again.

The staff was so helpful and friendly. The room we had was decorated with quaint German furniture. The location was absolutely perfect! Cafes, shops and restaurants were steps away and the public transportation was a quick 5 minute walk. The historic city center was just 10 minutes from the hotel by foot. I would absolutely stay here again!

Buffet breakfast was really great. Fresh food and numerous options. Replenished regularly. Helpful staff. Comfortable room European size. Very quiet room. Housekeeping made up room each day with fresh towels. In the heart of the City Center. We could walk everywhere. Walking distance to Oktoberfest. Just great and would definitely stay here again.

The fact that Hotel Europa is slightly off the beaten path (though ON the tram line) counts as an advantage. While I stayed at the Europa and enjoyed quiet surroundings, companions stayed near the Hauptbahnhof and had a terrible time with the noise of night-long partiers and seedy surroundings. The staff and furnishings of the Europa are first-rate, not over-the-top splendiferous such as demanded by poseurs, but quality provisions for the experienced traveler who knows what's...

Though we were one of the first customers to stay in this new hotel, this hotel was amazing. It was clean, it was comfortable, and the staff was friendly. There were some areas where they were still putting on the finishing touches, but those areas did not detract from the stay.

Hotel room size is bigger than normal European hotel so this is a plus, you got 2 free beer bottles and free water daily. Step out from the hotel and in front of you is market with all sort of food stalls and beer garden. The famous Hofbrauhaus and Shopping area is prob about less than 10 minute walk. Highly recommend

Had to take a city bus that charged a fare to the airport. The bus came approximately every 10 minutes

This was a very quick trip to Munich, Germany and I couldn't have been happier with this hotel. The location was perfect for me. It was a very easy walk to a train station with a direct line to the airport, a less than ten minute walk to Marienplatz, beer halls, museums, and again the train station that got me to wherever else I wanted to go.
