Top neighborhoods in Belgrade

Stari Grad
Explore the Belgrade Fortress, Kalemegdan Park, and the Bohemian quarter of Skadarlija in this historic municipality. Visit the Belgrade Zoo, Prince Michael Street, and various museums, with numerous hotels nearby.

Dorćol
Dorƒáol blends Belgrade's storied past with its hippest present through cobblestone streets lined with Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian architecture. This riverside district showcases multicultural heritage with landmarks like the 18th-century Bajrakli Mosque and Jewish Historical Museum. Art lovers and night owls flock to trendy cafés, boutiques, and lively kafanas where accordion melodies drift through medieval alleys. Traditional kafanas serve ƒáevapi alongside modern bistros, while artisan workshops offer authentic Serbian handicrafts. Getting around is easy with tram and bus connections, though the neighborhood is best explored on foot. Boutique hotels in restored 19th-century buildings provide the perfect base for exploring nearby Belgrade Zoo and Kalemegdan Fortress.

Vracar
Affluent urban area boasting embassies, museums, and the iconic Saint Sava Temple. Explore the bustling Kalenić green market, relax at Cvetni Trg's flower shops, or visit the National Library of Serbia.

Savski Venac
Boasting diverse geographical features, Savski Venac offers a variety of urban forests and parks, such as Topčider Forest and Park Manjež, as well as sports facilities at Sportsko Selo.
Zemun
Zemun charms visitors with cobblestone streets winding past pastel Austro-Hungarian buildings and the iconic Gardoš Tower. The hilltop offers sweeping Danube views while the waterfront promenade buzzes with cafes and fish restaurants serving fresh catches. This historic district maintains its distinct cultural identity with traditions dating back centuries. Cozy guesthouses in restored buildings make perfect bases for exploring this walkable neighborhood. City buses connect to central Belgrade every 10-15 minutes, though Zemun's relaxed riverside vibe might convince you to linger longer. The Green Market's local produce and crafts showcase authentic Serbian life beyond the tourist track.

Learn more about Belgrade
Ancient Kalemegdan Fortress commands the confluence of the Danube and Sava rivers, offering panoramic views worth the uphill walk. Republic Square buzzes with locals meeting 'at the horse' - the iconic equestrian statue that's Belgrade's unofficial heart. The Tesla Museum celebrates the inventor with hands-on exhibits that make science thrilling. After dark, floating nightclubs called 'splavovi' transform the riverbanks into Europe's most unexpected party scene. Duck into a Skadarlija tavern for live accordion music and rakija, the fiery fruit brandy locals insist cures everything except the hangover it causes. Football matches at Rajko Mitić Stadium deliver an atmosphere that makes Premier League games seem positively genteel.

FLOK Old Town - Marshal
"This is a very well centered hotel in Belgrade. We enjoyed our stay in this great City. I would like to specially mention the receptionist, she out of the way to help and inform us how to manage this very active City. Unfortunately, we didn’t keep her name."
Hotel Moskva
"I have been vistinng the hotel for the last 7-8 years. Last year I forgot a few clothing peaces and called the hotel and I was told wheneber I come back those things will be waiting for me. This time I was told that their policy is to keep stuff for 6 months only. That is in collision with what I was told a year ago."
Hyatt Regency Belgrade
"We are going to stay next time too, and recommend everyone Zehdin A"
Zijin Hotel Belgrade
"Very nice hotel great location with friendly helpful staff"
Metropol Palace Belgrade
"We had a wonderful stay in this gorgeous hotel. Extra touches like champagne and cake for a birthday were lovely and totally unexpected. It is slightly out of the Belgrade Waterfront area, but all public transport in Belgrade is free and easy to navigate, and it's well placed for spots like the Church of Saint Sava and Nikola Tesla Museum. Breakfast was more than adequate and in a lovely setting. The pool and spa facilities are great. The panoramic view from the restaurant at the top is superb at sunset. Parking is secure and 3000RSD per day."
Five Points Square - City Center
"You can't beat the location on Republic Square; my room had a beatiful view of the square. It's right off Knez Mihailova, the walking street -- actually a maze of streets, an upgrade from when I lived in Belgrade 23 years ago. The room was clean, but you can only clean old so much. The bathroom was modern, a contrast from the rest of the room. Getting there was a little confusing, especially late at night because you have to go up to the fifth floor (the elevator says sixth, but it's actually fifth -- you get used to it). I do not know what their plans are for the lower floors, which have been gutted and are currently under construction. I was told there might be construction noise, but I didn't hear any. The bed was hard; I suppose that will be replaced when remodeling is complete."
The Bristol Belgrade
"The Bristol was a wonderful experience for us. We had the superior deluxe room which was a very nice size. The shower was fantastic after a long international flight from the states. Excellent pressure and temperature. The hotel was very luxurious. The staff was amazing from the bell staff, front desk, waiters etc… they all made an effort to help us tremendously and all knew our names. The food was excellent from breakfast to dining experience and the dining courtyard had music nights on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Beautiful library as well. Didn’t see the spa but I’m sure that is just as nice. The location is walking distance from the bayfront promenade and the city center where all the cafes and restaurants are. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Belgrade and we would definitely stay there again."
Radisson RED Belgrade
"We booked one night in this hotel. It was clean and we'll appointed. The breakfast buffet featured a wide variety of foods that were fresh and flavorful. The location was good for exploring the city even though we didn't have enough time to do touristy things. Next time...."
