The hotel name changed since we booked and so did everything else. Our worst hotel experience ever. Always loved the Nomad, so we booked a room with two queen beds and a sofa area for our family of four. However, our reservation was not honored when we arrived. We were instead “upgraded” to a room with only one bed. We were exhausted from traveling for 12 hours so we agreed to their offer to make the sofa as comfy as possible. After an hour housekeeping dropped of linens, but we had to set up the bed ourselves, bashing our heads on the low hanging wood chandelier as we moved all the furniture around to make room to set up the sofa bed.
We agreed to just stick w/ this new room set up as we did not want to have to pack up in the middle of our stay to change rooms. However, when we were out for a day trip we received a call from the hotel that they made another mistake with the bookings and we could not stay in the current room they upgraded us to. We were offered a nominal food credit for all of the inconvenience. By this time, we had already eaten our last dinner in the hotel and paid with a credit card, so we decided to use the credit for breakfast. In the morning, the restaurant was unable to seat us. They suggested room service, but after waiting 3 HOURS for our order, it was time to check out. So we cancelled the order and tried to purchase packaged food from the gift shop. We weren’t allowed to use the credit for that either! So left starving and very unhappy. RIP Nomad
