Poor human values.
We had a booking at this property but lost the reservation due to an health emergency, so review is based on Human interaction, their lack of sensitivity and empathy towards a tragedy, and not on the stay itself.
I booked this trip for my girlfriend's birthday. Two weeks before our trip started, her father passed away suddenly, which was devastating for her. She flew to Argentina to bury her dad and came back to Miami, where we live.
She didn't have time to mourn the death of her father, when 5 days before our trip began, her mother became ill and was in a critical condition. She went from losing her father to the possibility of losing her mother within a month. We flew back to Argentina to be with her mom, knowing that we'd be losing this trip to Anguilla. I decide to reach out to the hotel directly and explain the situation in detail hoping that they could make an exception and not lose this 3 night reservation. I didn't purchase the Trip Protection and I was aware of their Cancellation Policy, I just hoped to see if there was another option, because I really wanted this trip for her after all she went through unexpectedly. I received an email back, with just one line " Unfortunately your reservation is nonrefundable nor changeable"
Like I said on the email in response to such a lovely and warm response, the money lost is irrelevant at this point, but your astonishing lack of sensitivity and empathy towards a tragedy is sad.
