I have been making this trip to attend the same annual conference at Harvard Business School for a long time. While having my “go-to” hotels that I usually book for, I am open-minded about new places and/or different types of accommodations, this one being one of them.
The descriptions on the website are generally accurate, but my personal experience was not as sharp as it appeared. Staff members were a stand-out who were all efficient (at check-in), friendly, and helpful. Another highlight is the basement area, where a good-size gym and the spacious business center are located. However, from a constructive perspective, I was not happy with the following
(1) The air conditioner is installed at the top of the wall, which is not the most efficient way to heat up a room because cold air is heavier than hot air. The draft was directly blowing on me and not quiet.
(2) I understand the concept of efficient space usage, but for the same space of the narrow desk, I am not sure why it was a high bar and highchair. I don’t like the metal chair either.
(3) While appreciating the concept and quality of the Beekman 1802 toiletries, something did not work in the soap and body wash as it took too much time to be washed off.
(4) Not enough tea/coffee choices.
(5) The printer in the business center did not really work.
