The photo they use for the property suggests a great lodge. That building is the very over-priced restaurant. The rooms are small in a motel-type building. We had reserved a king bed, lake view room with a balcony many months in advance. When we arrived, we were assigned to a room on the first floor with a patio. We said we had booked a room with a balcony. We were told there were none available and a patio was the same. When we got to our room, we found a very small room with no closet and only one chair. We went back to reception to ask for another room and told that without moving more than once, we could not get something else. We were told they would bring us another chair the next day. The chair never came. The next day we asked if we could leave after two nights and get a refund for the last three nights. The cancellation policy suggests that only the first night would be charged if you canceled. The front desk clerk said it would not be refunded but she would ask the owner and call us back. We did not get a call back and there was never an attempt to upgrade the room or in some way make us feel better about our disappointment in our room. In fact, we were told that the balcony that was clearly listed on our itinerary was only a request, and since we booked through a third party, was not a guarantee. We stayed for all five days in a room that was smaller than any rooms we have had in NYC, had to grab a hard chair from the restaurant patio. Not close to any restaurants.
