Friendly welcome and would happily stay longer. Lovely meal in pub on premises. Very dog friendly and mine loved his nibbles and toy in the room, when we arrived… lovely touch. Comfortable bed and nice room. Great location for exploring Dartmoor. Will return soon, I hope.

What a gem! Wonderfully located so you can walk straight on the moor by the hatter rocks. Fantastic breakfast, very comfortable rooms and very dog friendly. Our room was in the ground flooor opening out onto garden area, so perfect for taking the dogs out and having a coffee on the patio area. Lovely garden area for evening drinks. We had a wonderful time!

Fantastic hotel

We stayed here for one night on our way to Cornwall. It was a lovely hotel, with both a restaurant and pub attached. Food was wonderful and the staff really good. It is within Dartmoor so great walks all around. Would highly recommend this hotel and we hope to return.

The Moorland is in a beautiful location and first impressions were good, lounge and dining areas are lovely. However, our room was very small and very hot. In the evening, we waited over 1.5 hours for our food to arrive and the menu was very uninspiring. Breakfasts were excellent though.
