Appalling check-in:
40 minutes. Staff need basic training in how to locate a booking made via hotels . com.
Incorrect door key cards issued :
Reception staff don’t know how to program door keys, and will hand you one that is (a) not programmed correctly and (b) labelled illegibly, with a room number scribbled carelessly.
Security
Housekeeping staff suggested “If your door key doesn’t work, just ask me and I will open the door”. Housekeeping should instead direct guests to reception.
