Confusing on prices. A little rundown, but a great venue.

Comfortable, very spacious rooms, excellent meals, friendly staff
Never knew what was included and what we would be charged. Staff wasn't really around much. No coffee in the morning before we went out. No ice. No hot water two days.
Fabulous most relaxing stunning place, great staff and two wonderful dogs had a lovely holiday in a small independent hotel. Would recommend it if you want a real Bajan experience and Pamelas pancakes are the best.
This was quite possibly the worst experience I have ever had in my life of travelling. Upon arriving we had to take a cab which cost over $80 US to the site. The hotel was under renovations and the entire road leading to the hotel was ripped up with construction vehicles blocking our passage. After an hour we finally managed to locate a staff member who told us the hotel was closed. We spent 6 weeks trying to get our money back only to have Expedia tell us that the hotel would not reimburse us. We were forced to find other accommodations in high season at significant cost to us. Stay away from this hotel at all costs.
Best word to describe our stay would be "confusing". We were warmly greeted and the place had beautiful potential. We enjoyed our stay, and Carlos was very hospitable. But we were left to "fend" for ourselves quite a bit which we love to do, but did not want to invade the space of the staff and come off as rude to them. The room we were given was not very nice compared to the others available. We were the only people staying there the night we stayed (which in itself was a little weird) so i think they should have asked our preference. We had prior arrangements for a taxi to the airport upon leaving so we did not need help with anything upon departing. But we joked at the airport about wondering if they realized we had left yet since the staff was so scarcely seen and nobody said goodbye, thanks for coming, etc. All in all a fun experience and would love to visit again with the awareness we have now of how to enjoy and what to expect. With some "hands on" management The Bellevue Plantation could be one of the highlights to visit on the island of Barbados.
Love the peaceful house and the welcoming, friendly staff. Will def return.
quiet. breezy porches, car necessary. relaxing. friendly staff. big rooms more like suites.
Really interesting house representing the colonial past. Location good to catch the breeze. Good grounds and loved the hammocks.Comfortable room and excellent sitting areas Catering could be improved at least with the provision to get coffee or tea when wanted and possibly the option to get a basic breakfast (toast or cereal) without pre-booking it
The house is beautiful and the room is clean, but the place is in the middle of nowhere, just to get out to eat you need to call a taxi that costs $25 usd. Wish I had booked somewhere in the town, by the beach...
The place was romantic but could use some renovation. The handheld shower head did not function in our room and the toilet button did not work properly. The curtains around the four-poster bed were torn. - Food could be better.
