Hi, the property is a 17th century Inn, so I expected a bit of Quirkiness !! ie having to bend at the knees to have a pee, but that shouldn’t have affected “Breakfast” !! which was very disappointing.
The place needs to give serious thought to how it can operate a breakfast service that is acceptable.
Breakfast fare was pre cooked & placed in non heated containers on a very small bar top (more a shelf) for clients to help them selves. Milk was a plastic unopened bottle on the top & there were no EGG options at all.
Obviously no serviette’s !!
So, to conclude, breakfast did not meet the minimum standard one should expect, far from it.
No wonder they don’t do any other food, they can’t even cope with a breakfast.
Also, off road parking is minimal (4cars) ……
I probably won’t hear back from Expedia but “The Crown Hotel”, I would suggest, is doing them no favours.
More than disappointing that I paid in excess of £100 for this experience.
Has put me off using EXPEDIA going forward.
Kind Regards
Richard Tallentire
