Kate, Chris and Heidi were exceptionally kind and gracious hosts! Our meal was outstanding. The dining room was lovely. Our lodging was great, beautiful room and very comfortable beds. Loved the sounds of the soothing stream nearby. Enjoyed walking to town. Highly recommend this hostel!

I had a really wonderful two nights’ stay. The staff was incredibly hospitable and welcoming. The atmosphere and food were sublime. The location is ideal for any trips into nature. I’d highly recommend coming here and I will definitely come back again when I’m in the area.

Logement atypique au cœur des montagnes Écossaises. Les chambres sont de type auberge de jeunesse avec des équipements modestes mais l’essentiel y est. Nous avons grandement apprécié le chaleureux accueil des hôtes.

Ariundle house is a home away from home. The staff seem to love their job and are always cheerful and friendly even when you’re running late as we did. Food was left for us in the fridge. The food is beautiful! Real homecooking. I warmly recommend Ariundle house!

Dirty room, broken facilities. Don’t book this accomodation. I have around 100 stays ever year, but this was the worst of all of them,

I'm sorry to say this, but this place is absolutely terrible. Don't book it if you have any other choice.

Only stay here if you can't find anywhere else to stay and it's to wet to sleep in a ditch.

Chambre confortable mais sans chauffage. L’hôte nous a accueilli avec une tasse de thé. La cuisine commune est propre.

Staff were excellent, and very hospitable. The food at their restaurant/cafe was simply superb. The room was decent, pretty much as advertised. A couple of minor issues about the facilities were brought to the owners' attention, but otherwise, the stay was a very pleasant experience. Thank you!

The place is magical! I have never seen so many stars at once light pollution is minimal, and you can even hear stags from the nearby woods. A true heaven for hikers, simply something special. The people we met (I presume the owners) were very kind. Access to the kitchen is great. The room was basic, as expected, but the bed was very comfy to my liking. This place has massive potential with some investment, they could easily charge double for these rooms. I would definitely stay again.

Hideaway in the woods

It was nice and warm, the mattresses could do with upgrading and tv,s that work but the staff were awesome, especially the girl who makes the awesome cakes there especially the scones and i told her so.it is in the middle of nowhere so is hard to find but once there its stunning. Plus we were very lucky to witness a pair of eagles fly over us.

The rooms are spacious but with really basic furniture. Beds ok, bathroom definitely needing some renovation… the washbasin is really small and positioned at kids height ( probably this is a scouts lodging area..) , shower and the rest really in poor conditions. For a one night stay the location is ok , but it is definetely overpriced. Dinner was good but we had to wait 1.5 hour for a simple vegetable crumble…

This is a very rundown property with limited amenities. The Yellow Bunkroom was tiny and the bathroom was very old. A neighboring dog barked throughout the night. The pictures were very obviously taken many years ago.

Ariundle is one of a kind! Kate and Laura were incredible hosts and went well beyond the call of duty. One of our party left their passport when we left and Laura was so supportive and helpful. The room was excellent, older but clean and the beds are comfy, and the food at the tea room, wow!!!!!
