My wife and I had a lovely time at the Swan Nest in Seward. A welcoming, safe, and charming place. Lovely common areas, cozy bedroom, beautiful breakfasts made to order (thanks, Jada!), and walking distance from many terrific restaurants and bars, as well as a gorgeous mountain view. Just a cozy spot where you feel at home!

We had a wonderful stay in Seward! A Swan Nest Inn was perfect for our group of four. The room was clean and comfortable. The made-to-order breakfast was delicious and we were able to enjoy it early before heading out for a morning boat tour.

We'd like to go back to Seward and if we do, we'll stay at A Swan Nest. Walk ability to Seward and the beautiful water!. Great breakfast served. Best shower 'water' ever. Our bed. Wsa very comfortable. Very old building, well maintained. character plus. Guests must climb 20 steps.

Awesome little B&B in Seward. The staff was great at communicating about the property. The rooms had plenty of space and a great loft for the kids. The location is unbeatable for exploring downtown Seward or a quick drive up to the small boat harbor. It was a great find for visiting Seward!!

5 stars - loved the stay with my son here. Staff is very nice and makes excellent breakfast in morning. I was able to put my own food in kitchen refrigerator and heat it up in microwave in their kitchen. The view of ice-covered mountains from the breakfast room is exceptional.

It gives the feeling of a cross between a youth hostel and a B&B. The rooms have a loft, but it is of limited use. The height inside the loft is very low, requiring you to move around on your knees, or scooch around seated on the floor. When you are seated on the floor within the loft, your head is only a couple inches below the ceiling. I sat up on the mattress in the middle of the night and banged my head on the ceiling. The ladder to the loft is substantial and the rungs are so far apart it would not be suitable for younger children or shorter adults. It also makes getting up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night difficult. The breakfast is cooked to order and very good. The bathroom was modern and very clean. The common areas are like a youth hostel, not of very good quality.

This is a lovely and quaint bed-and-breakfast in Seward. The location is good for exploring the historic downtown area with the shops and restaurants. There is a city shuttle if you wanna go further north in town for some excursions. Most excursion companies also offer a free pick up. It is a much better neighborhood to stay and then uptown. Sara and her staff operate this property and take care of your every need. The morning, hot breakfast to order was outstanding! We enjoyed fresh fruit salad, eggs to order bacon, and sausage and amazing sourdough waffles. Certainly a really good find in Seward!

We stayed here for 3 nights and during booking we were not sure if the kids will adjust to the loft experience or not. One thing which helped is pro-active messages from the host about the loft which showed transparency, so we kept the booking. To our surprise, our kids loved the loft experience and one of them said why all vacation rentals or hotels dont have this. Also, my wife who is very cleanliness minded noticed everything seems clean from bathroom, room, sheets etc. We were carrying lot of food, so were able to use the shared kitchen and large fridge there. Lastly, we loved the experience of freshly cooked breakfast all 3 mornings, it was so refreshing before we headed out for outing.
