Super experience , it's a bar hotel but if you take time to immerse your self with locals you won't be disappointed. No food other than Baguettes at lunch time but there is everything you can wish for within a 10 min walk

Not bad at all= very happy
All ok really- pub(aka 'hotel') bit noisy on both fri and sat evenings but not horrendous. Keycard door lock iffy- staff changed cards several times but def the DOOR LOCK- so locked out more than once. Great little town GREAT PEOPLE- excellent take-aways nearby ( no 'hotel' food)Good bathrooms- plenty coffee/tea etc. Very Good for the price- Would def use again for NEC etc.Happy thank you..

Comfy bed. Can see that the building has age to it and efforts have been made to make improvements.

Stayed here a few times staff always been lovely and helpful and rooms are comfy and clean. Bit noisy but its to be expected when your staying above a pub.

The condition of the property is run down and therefore difficult to present well. However the sheets were clean and the room warm. It’s a pub so expect noise.
maria, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Really dated very dirty and there was a kindle inside the bed sheets so obviously not been changed, loads of long black hairs in bed really noisy. Disappointing stay

Booked the property then saw the reviews so was abit nervous to go here with them all being bad but I can not fault our stay at all! Upon arrival the music was loud in the pub, we checked in and the manager took us out the back. We were in one of the self contained lodges in the courtyard and it was of a very high clean standard, as we arrived the heating was on. It was newly refurbished and it was done to a high standard. Only one fault, the is a gap between the bottom of the door and the floor and therefore around 3am - 5am we could hear the other rooms outside smoking and drinking which were chatting. Other than that, we had a good experience.

The bathroom was in a terrible state. It appeared to have not been cleaned after the previous guest had used it. The toilet pan and seat were disgusting.

Poorly maintained, holes in wales, mould in bathroom. Hairs in bed, dirty bathroom floor. Room next to car park, not double glazed so room cold and noisy.

Friendly staff plus cheap beer and cobs. Bar looks a bit worn but rooms are 100%. New rooms being built at back with potential of breakfasts in the future. I will stay here again.
B, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

I had booked two double rooms, one of the rooms was above the bar, which had music playing until still o clock in the morning, multiple fights happened during my short 1 day stay. The car park was full when it is supposed to be for people staying at the property. Overall, I would literally never stay here again.
Russell, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

This place is very run down and dirty. The music was so loud, and the noise from the clientele made it impossible to sleep. everything was not explained on arrival and we had to track down a staff member, who was very helpful this time. The room was very dated, and dirty in places...it's in need of a huge update/refurbishment. It wasn't very expensive but I wish we had paid more and stopped elsewhere where. One to avoid
