Buena relación precio-calidad

Buena ubicación, muy cerca de la calle principal pero aislada del ruido. Habitación correcta con agua caliente. Personal amable y nos facilitó información turística, a parte, nos entregaron el desayuno antes de la hora para ir a coger el tren de las 6:40h.

Las fotos publicadas en hoteles.com no se corresponden con la realidad, las características descritas menos aún, yo contrate una habitación con fotos y características correspondiente que luego nada que ver cuando llegamos, me pareció una tomadura de pelo y un engaño.

The staff was very welcoming. I arrived very early and they were still able to get me into my room. When I advised them that I was taking the train to Kandy the next morning, they said that they would have a sack breakfast ready (waters, boiled egg, bananas and a very good breakfast sandwich). The WiFi was good and the TV had several English language channels. Overall, a good value in Ella. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family. Also, check out the Rose Cabin Mexican Restaurant just down the road. Very good nachos, considering you are in a mountain village in the middle of Sri Lanka.

The staff, particularly the man at the front desk (I forgot his name!) were so genuinely friendly and accomodating from the second I arrived. He answered all of my questions, smiled a lot and made me feel safe as a solo female traveller. On my last day when I had to leave at 6am to get the early train, he woke up and prepared my breakfast in a little to-go bag for my journey. Exceptional service in a really convenient location, very close to all the attractions like 9 arch bridge, little Adam’s peak and the main strip of shops in Ella. Yes the room is basic but very clean and very affordable! Would definitely recommend!

Nettes Hotel in super Lage mir sehr netten und zuvorkommendem Personal. Das Frühstück wird auf der Dachterrasse serviert und ist gut. Leider ganz ganz mieses Internet im Zimmer.

Ella is so small town so most of the hotels are all within 10 minutes walking from the city center. Here the location was also good, not at the main road. However, there was a lot construction work going on in the neighborhood so that caused noise in the early mornings. Room was clean, large enough and powerful AC. The view from the balcony was disappointment. Breakfast really basic Sri Lankan style. I think there are better value for money hotels available in Ella but this was okay too.

Nice hotel away from the city center.

The hotel had a good location away from the noise in the city center, close to good restaurants and a nice rooftop view. The service was great and they made me breakfast at 6.50 in the morning because I was going on a hiking trip, even tho the breakfast starts at 7.30 normally. The rooms was not quite as good, there was no AC and no Mini-fridge, so the room was very warm and the fan that was on the wall didn't help much. And you always had to drink your water "warm" which is not very nice in the heat of Sri Lanka. The breakfast was pretty standard but good, I would probably recommend the hotel if you don't have a problem with a warmer room and no fridge.

Don't stay in a standard double

Don't stay in a standard double room, and be careful about trusting what people say as refunds for unspeakable rooms aren't given. I booked this hotel through another site for one night and hotels for the second. The bed in the standard room was so bad it caused me back issues, so decided to share my travel partners room for night 2. They had promised to refund the second night for the room I didnt stay in but then once gone this didn't happen and turns out it was a lie. Probably not helped by hotels.com who have been sub par on my Sri Lanka trip. My travel partner had a better double which was a good room and comfortable bed too. But just be careful who and what you belive.

Great place to stay in Ella

Great location near town. Near restaurants. Hot shower. Comfortable bed. Clean room. Helpful staff. Great local options at breakfast. Good laundry service. Really can't flaw this place. Only thing is WiFi only worked in some places in the room, but I think that was probably only our room as it was the further from the router. I would definitely stay again and recommend.

Amazing staff, rooftop breakfast was great. Located very close to the main shopping area of Ella. Ella is still a developing suburb hence don’t expect hugely fancy accommodation here. Ella Rock House was comfortable. WiFi was reliable. Would recommend.

Great and clean budget hotel

We had such a good stay at this hotel! The staff was very friendly and made sure we got everything we need. The room we had was nice and clean and had a nice little balcony. The bed wasnt extremely comfortable, but good enough for a few nights. Breakfast was pretty good too! Location is great, close to everything and it was pretty quiet at night. Definitely recommend staying here if you're on a budget, but need a good and clean hotel.
