For that price range, everything else was booked, so we took it. Was surprized to find such a cozy-looking hotel, in a great location, clean, comfy, great breakfast, pleasant lobby, nice restaurants just around the corner on foot, and close to the mountain trails we were hiking to.
great service bery good wifi very clean place great room great biew great serbice
Great location, good breakfast, and friendly staff. The room was clean and easily accommodated five people. Fantastic view from the deck next to the dining room and bar.
The hotel felt somewhat outdated. Corridors are dark and narrow, and the room was very simple, even though the bathroom was modern and well equipped. Service was good and friendly (although nobody speaks any English). We tried the breakfast one morning - it was theoretically very good, but we arrived at least 30 minutes before it ended and some items were already missing and were never even refilled. For the high cost of breakfast (12 euros per person) and given the missing items, it was a little disappointing.
Could do better at breakfast. Poor bar ran out of draft beer then bottles and didn’t replenish for last three days of our stay! Poor transport to and from ski buses intermittent and stop at times. Although not hotels fault but too far to walk into town. Gtreat if you hire skis as transport daily to lift and return but nothing going on on an evening so stayed in town. Very expensive taxis to return though!!! Staff were great very welcoming and helpful. They are the hotels assert.
I would recommend the excellent breakfast. They also have a lovely patio for cocktails.
The hotel is very close to Mount Blanc on the Italian side and our room was on a balcony with an amazing view of the mountain. It is an old fashioned chalet with upgraded bathrooms. The room was clean and quiet. There was an elevator, which was really handy for the luggage. The staff was really friendly and welcoming with maps and advice for exploring the area. The breakfast was fantastic with fresh home made bread, local cheese, yogurt, muesli, and pies and tarts to top it off.
The best part about traveling Europe is staying in places that offer the local traditional charm. This place nails it! It’s by far my favorite. It was the perfect place to stay while visiting the French Alps. The local restaurants serve delicious Italian food. Getting into Italy addend more flavor to the stay. Just get through the tunnel at the boarder crossing very early in the day. It’s worth it!
Amazing views of Mont Blanc ❤️
This is family run for several generations. It's cozy and spacious at the same time. Great views of the surrounding mountains. Excellent, above average breakfast buffet spread. Larger than average rooms. Modern bath. Very helpful staff - one member took the time to personally walk me to the spot where he could point out exactly where I should park so as to avoid the 10 Euro parking fee for the tram. It was much appreciated. (You park by the little tram's parking lot and walk through the tunnel to the big tram.) If visiting during busy times, buy tram tickets online with guaranteed boarding times. Don't hesitate at the tram expense - as everyone says, it is well worth it and the food at the top is more than adequate and very reasonably priced.
