An older motel seemingly locally owned and run. My experience was not terrible but not great either. Check-in was quick and the agent on duty was very friendly. A strong musty acrid smell greeted me when I opened the door to my room. Possibly an artifact of the many years that smoking was allowed in this non-smoking room. Night table lamp was missing a switch, there was a hole in the wall above the TV with protruding wiring, and the handle on the bathroom sink came off in my hand.
On the other hand, the shower was hot, the AC blew wonderfully cold air, there are restaurants and other necessities nearby, and the room was acceptably clean. The bed was comfortable enough for me.
There is a free cook prepared breakfast offered but I passed as I left very early the following morning.
This place does have potential. It’s got a vintage vibe that could be the foundation for something better. Overall, I was most put off by the smell and that’s something that could be easily addressed.
