I have nothing good to say about this place. The room wasn't at the Sportsman Inn as per the name, but at the nearby McNeil's Inn on the other side of the pub where you do your check-in with servers who's duty is to simply give you a key. The room was extremely small, no chairs, no suitcase tray, all furniture was heavily damaged, the toilet wasn't screwed properly and had a small leak, the shower curtain smelled and was disgustingly stained. The windows go all the way to the floor so curtains must be kept closed as otherwise you are lying on your bed for the whoke parking lot to see. The staff told us they were completely full and could not help out. This left us with a sour taste about Port McNeil. We were on the road by 7:30am. The little café next door was vey nice.
