Hotel cómodo, muy bien situado, y personal muy amable
Nice hotel, perfect location close to everything, welcoming staff and clean. They let me check in earlier and kept my lugagge for the day when i check out. Extraordinary for the price. ( sugestion: breakfast could have a litle improvement with fresh bread from the day that is good and very cheap in tunisia instead of toasted plastic bread ;) cheers
The hotel is located very close to the entrance to the Medina and also to the Habib Bourguiba Boulevard in the city center. My room was comfortable. In order to reach the rooms it is necessary to climb stairs, I do not believe there is any lift/elevator.
Unfortunately after the friendly check in there were a number of troubles. The business is unprofessional as it’s family run and so all the family live at the hotel. There was one woman who was incredibly unfriendly and unaccomodating at various points and I was spoken to rudely after requesting a room change where the internet actually works . I asked for a taxi to be called to pick me up .... there was no phone that works in the hotel and it can only receive calls. My tour guide called the day before to arrange a pick up time and I was not given the message at all . Some of the men that worked there were kind and helpful but my products were stolen from the shower and no one new anything about it . I was unsettled by the gruff communication of one of the receptionists and when I brought that my empty coffee cup to her she again barked at me to put it in the salon which made me feel about 5 years old and I realised it is unprofessional service. I’m concerned for international guests staying there that they will not be looked after and there is no information about tours or things to do so as a solo traveller the hotel doesn’t really support or give information in fact they with hold. I know times are tough in Tunisia but the hotel seemed more concerned with family relations than actually prioritising their guests. . Sorry I was upset particularly because internet did not work and when I requested a room change I was given a cleaners bedroom & loud construction next door
the staff were very indifferent when i booked in . there were 2 of them but they could barely make an effort . was given 2 single beds but booked a double . they were annoyed i asked for a different room though the hotel was not very full . also had to ask once to find the aircon control - hidden behind the curtain & ask for the wifi code. they offer no info . the lift in the middle of the hotel is noisy - it’s easy to hear the other guests coming and going . the rooms have a swipe key that make a noise . street noise loud too . breakfast included - supposed to be from 6am . i had a plane to catch , it wasn’t ready . it’s a good location, hot shower .
Great location. You can walk to Medina and Habib Bourqiba street, one of the busiest streets in the city. The staff were awesome, they cannot be nicer! It is a great choice for this price. The only downside is the noise. It gets really busy in the early mornings, so you ll have to wake up earlier than expected.
I was in Tunis for about 5 hours before I got robbed and in a horrible accident so the rest of my stay was in the hospital. Check in was nice and everyone I spoke to at the hotel was helpful. The room was clean and cozy. The location seemed good but I don’t really know because I didn’t even get to explore the medina.
Hotel is well located, room is clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good.
Excellent value for money. If you are not bothered about all the unnecessary frills that 4 star+ hotels offer then this is perfect for a short stay. Right in the centre of Tunis, a fantastic location just off the Avenue de France which is the last section of the main Av. Habib Bourguiba (like a Tunisian version of the Champs Elysees). 2 minutes walk to Place de la Victoire where you find the main entrance to the Medina (a World Heritage site). Plenty of shops, restaurants and 'posh' hotels nearby if you want a bit of luxury but also 'real life' on your doorstep - the locals going about their everyday lives, the craft workshops, the cafes, the historical & religious buildings, museums, parks etc. The main train station is nearby for routes to the rest of the country and the TGM Metro to Carthage & Sidi Bou Said, plus a very good tram network. Hotel is very clean, spacious rooms, lounge area, good continental breakfast included and very helpful staff plus 24 hour reception. I was pleasantly surprised by the high standard when you are really only paying hostel prices. I would recommend this hotel to anyone (solo, couple, family) who wants to be right in the heart of Tunis and see all the sights during the day and have a safe and comfortable place to rest at night.
Positives: Good value for money considering the price. Spacious room. Negatives: There was AC in the room but no remote provided I guess it was not inclused in the rate, wifi signal was a bit slow but worked, no lift.
