Quiet and remote... but access to N Kent towns... property surrounded by farming land...country walks available. Friendly and considerate owners....free parking ...initial welcome tasty breakfast fare provided...car definitely needed....very comfortable and wi fi works.....

Lovely self contained property, in beautiful position right on the Syndale Valley trail and 2 miles from Doddington Gardens, well worth a visit. Property contained every facilitiy required, bath and walk in shower, plentiful hot water and comfy bed. Breakfast produce left for first morning which was a lovely touch, hosts very good, there but not too intrusive - a wonderful stay.

Kate our host greeted me on arrival. Sandhurst Farm Forge is in an ideal location for visiting friends and family in the area and also ideal if you are looking for a quiet retreat. Kate provides the most amazing Welcome Pack - with tea, coffee, sugar, milk etc and lots of goodies for breakfast the next morning, including sausages and bacon from the local butcher. If you are keen to walk the country lanes then just take Seed Road down the long, not steep, hill to Newnham where you will find The George Inn. Please bear in mind the lanes are narrow and there are no footpaths or street lights on this road. I don't know if there are shops in the village or if it is easy to get a takeaway as I didn't need either. Sandhurst Farm Forge is very well equipped with a huge kitchen and everything that you could possibly need for a short stay. There is a kitchen table that seats up to six people. There is a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge and separate freezer. The bathroom with a walk in shower and gorgeous big bath all look brand new! The bedroom has blinds and curtains so I was easily able to block out the light, which afforded a great night's sleep and so peaceful too. There is a large sitting room for relaxing in with two sofas and a television on the wall. Thank you so much Kate for the warm welcome and your hospitality. I hope to return very soon. Tina

A delightful, peaceful and relaxed place to stay

Welcoming, friendly and helpful host, Kate. Accommodation very comfortable and spacious. Delicious breakfast, The whole site is so lovely and peaceful. Exquisite wood turning, porcelain, print and tapestry works of art, all made by this talented family.....on display (on request) and for sale!

A perfect little haven in Kent

We had a lovely anniversary stay at Sandhurst Farm. The owner, Kate, could not have been more welcoming to this peaceful, comfortable B&B in a converted stable block. The room was immaculate, the shower hot and brand new apparently. We had wonderful cooked breakfast with home laid eggs and local produce. There's a great pub, The George, a short drive away at the end of the lane to relax in and we lived nearby Faversham. Will definitely come again.

The B&B was very remote off a single track road, however it was worth the effort for the peace and quite of the Kent countryside. Excellent places to eat within a few miles. The only downside was the very small bathroom and shower but everything worked and hot water ample. Breakfast was delicious.

Excellent B&B

Very satisfied with our stay there. The owners were both friendly and helpful for the five days of our stay. Good choice for breakfast, fruit, cereal, yoghurt, pastries, local fruit juices,full cooked English breakfast, toast and home made jam. Excellent would stay there again.

A quiet place in a lovely area

Very enjoyable two night stay in a big, comfortable and nicely furnished room with all the facilities. Our room was adjacent to the kitchen, which we were allowed to use (fridge, etc) although there were tea and coffee making facilities in the room, including lovely biscuits. Private bathroom with a shower, small but adeguate for our needs, spotlessly clean. No Wi-Fi and mobile phone signal temperamental, depending on the provider you use, but it seems to be the case for many places in that area. Lovely hosts, nothing was too much trouble, very good communication prior to the visit and during our stay, full of local knowledge and happy to share. Very nice breakfast, local produce, home made bread and preserves, lovely local fruit. A nice bonus was the occasion to visit a fully working forge, so the B&B's name is not historical but present! About 1 mile drive to the main road and a lovely local pub in Newnham, very nice dinner indeed. A good base for exploring the area, quiet and restful, we fully enjoyed our weekend and would highly recommend.

We have stayed at a lot of B&B's but this one was outstanding there was nothing that you could complain about what so ever, I would highly recommend this to anyone wishing to stay near Canterbury or that type of area
