The property was clean & well appointed for our 1 night stay. Dave was friendly & greeted us on arrival. It's nothing fancy but we would definitely stay again!

We were there a very short time, just to sleep, but it was very clean and has all the amenities anyone would need. I would definitely stay there again .

D’s was everything as described. Very spacious and in an easy location to find and close enough to places to get any last minute essentials. It was quiet and well kept up. I would definitely stay again. Staff was friendly and informative. All appliances were in good working condition.

Easiest check-in and check-out experiences ever! There were four of us traveling together and we appreciated the spaciousness of the suite. If you are looking to catch a sea plane to Isle Royale National Park I highly recommend staying a D's Base Camp the night before.

We were stuck behind an accident on our way to Base Camp, and I was able to text the property to let them know we wouldn't be arriving until after 10 pm. The suite was just as pictured on the website, and we had everything we needed to cook breakfast in the mornings before heading our for the day. It was just what we needed.

If you're looking for a fancy place, this isn't it. This place is clean and comfortable. This is exactly what we were looking for. This would be an incredible spot to host a group side-by-side or snowmobile ride. Hopefully we'll get back up in this area and we'll be staying there again.

8/10 Muy buena

Very convenient, just off the road, location. Very nice place to stay with a large group.

Last minute reservation so a much larger “room” than expected. Three beds/two bath apartment. Perfect for a large family or a group of friends. Bring food! Some good restaurants around but a ways away. Very reasonably priced, very clean where it mattered. The unit we selected happened to be above a garage which we didn’t mind but the stairway smelled a tiny bit of normal garage smells. Inside we didn’t notice at all.

6/10 Buena

The bathrooms were clean and well stocked with towels. The bedding was good. The pans in the kitchen were unusable as the teflon coating was badly disintegrating. I had planned on making breakfast before we left.

It's my fifth time renting here and it's always excellent. It's homey and right off of the highway so it's easy to get to Houghton or any other town you may want to visit

The kitchen was fully equipped with stove, pots, pans, utensils, plates, cups, bowls... Everything you would need to prepare and eat a full home cooked meal. Fridge worked and was clean as were the rest of the appliances. Beds were clean with clean linens. Same with the bathrooms which were fully stocked with washcloths and towels. I would stsy here again if needed.

Great for All Purposes

D’s Base Camp caters more to adventurers, whilst we simply needed a reasonably priced place to stay overnight for college move-in weekend. With that said, you really can’t go wrong with multiple rooms, bathrooms, and kitchen. Will be looking to stay here again the next time we’re in town.
