Not the best for winter accomodations
A winter stay in this cabin was not a good choice. Snow blew in under the door, floor heating units not great and carpet frayed and furniture very old. Beds squeaky and soft. The sheets and towels were clean and the breakfast had some nice muffin choices. The hotel lobby was clean and tidy and decorated for the holidays nicely. Really pretty view of the frozen lake.

Dirty, smelly and overpriced
The room smelled, it was dirty and the towels had stains. The water was hard and smelled so awful. The beds had stains and were not comfortable. The “breakfast” was a joke. So so disappointed.

It was very good except the water pressure in our room in the main lodge would suddenly and there would be no water coming out of shower or sink. Happened a couple of times. Told management and they would have had us change rooms but we were leaving early the next day so declined.

The view was great. I liked that food and drink were available on site. The dock seating was so nice and relaxing. The room was very clean and comfortable, but very dated. The screen door had 7 holes and 6 patches, lol.

This was an awesome property a long time ago, but now it’s worn out and rundown. We stayed in Cedar Lodge right after it rained. The place reeks of mold, the furnishings are ancient, the bathroom smells funky and is overall disgusting condition. The carpeting has an eclectic pattern of filth and stains. I woke up in the middle of the night with a horribly sore throat and congestion, which went away about 2 hours after I left the place. DO NOT STAY HERE.
