Staff charge city tax in cash and when you ask them for a receipt, they get annoyed. Rooms were much worse than the photos we saw online. No hot water in the morning before our flight- Had a cold water shower at 5am. The only good thing about this place is the Italian restaurant round the corner called anna e paolo.

I loved the ambiance and 1960s look of Chellah. The staff were very warm and welcoming. The rooms are basic but have everything you need. I would definitely stay again.

The check in process was easy. The room was old and not too tidy. The bathtub was filfthy with a thick layer of film as well as the shower curtain. I advised reception and it was cleaned, but I asked to have my room changed. Hey did so with no problem. Breakfast was decent.

So many things need to change for this hotel to be good. For starters management dont read the booking! I paid for a Jr suite. tried to put me in a crappy regular room. I get into the suite and there are holes in the shower walls, corroded shower heads and bugs. I was able to open the door with a credit card in 30 seconds!!!!! no key!!! told the manager he said dont worry about it, no one will steal from you. I also ordered a non smoking room, no such thing here every room has ashtrays. in the morning 6am I woke up to my room filled with smoke from the next room. went to the desk changed rooms, put me in a regular room again, told them I paid for a suite, had to wait 3 hours fo a new suite to open. get there (not nearly as nice without a balcony too) at this point I just wanted to leave. thankfully I only stayed 2 nights. Oh the pool closes at 6pm, sunset is at 8pm, this is Africa!!!!!!! it is hot!!!!!! last thing Wifi sucks!!!!! get your act together Chellah!!!!!!!

It doesnt seem like hotel caters to tourists, they do not have any maps of the city and do not bother to explain anything related to the city or attractions, like other hotels I have experienced. On two separate occasions I asked for wifi, the first time, the first guy said only allowed in loby, I asked for password and he said there is no password. Out of frustration and lack of help, I decided to go back to room. Second time I asked, a girl finally gave us the password to the wifi. Coming from a different country, I feel that staff need more customer service training, especially to tourists. Rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable.

I think this was my eighth visit to the Chellah. Although the music at night was a little interfering it still didn't spoil my stay. I hope to return soon.
