Not a traditional hotel as such, best described as blocks of bedsit type rooms with access to a bar and restaurant. The rooms come complete with job, oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine.
Our room was furthest from the restaurant, fortunately it was lovely weather, you would get a soaking if raining walking to breakfast.
The room (712) was spacious, clean and very quiet. But it was so hot! Not sure why, all radiators were off. There are locked cupboards that I think contain a boiler (not sure how fuelled but gas I should think) and other plumbing and these seemed quite warm at all times. I mentioned this to reception who said they would get maintenance to have a look but I’m not sure they were taking much notice.
Also the hot water was scaldingly hot. This is dangerous and either warnings should be given or the temperature reduced.
Breakfast was good and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful.
We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend with the warning that the room price is fairly expensive for what you get though this is an expensive part of the country.
Of course if you are a golfer (I’m not!) this could be the perfect place for a weekend break.
