I stayed at Le Méridien for 4 nights and unfortunately, my experience didn’t live up to expectations. While the front desk staff were friendly and I appreciated having a refrigerator and safe in the room, there were key issues that left me disappointed.
My room was never cleaned, despite being away for hours midday. I returned twice during lunch hoping to rest, only to find the room untouched—and no quiet space available elsewhere in the hotel. It still wasn’t cleaned by 5 PM. I was offered 5,000 points at checkout, but it didn’t reflect the inconvenience.
Most frustrating was the $25 daily “destination fee.” While it could be used for food or drink, I felt pressured to dine at the hotel to avoid wasting money I was charged upfront. A basic room service breakfast was $40–$52 before applying the credit (and included an excessive $7 room service fee). I would have preferred the freedom to explore local dining options without being locked into this charge.
The hotel has potential, but between the uncleaned room and the mandatory fee, it didn’t meet expectations.
