Bayview Hotel Rothesay

An amazing hotel in an amazing location. Very reasonably priced. Best hosts ever. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was outstanding. The views were stunning. Would highly recommend and we would love to return.

Highly recommended!

The hotel owners were friendly even before I checked in. Getting in touch to see if there was anything I'd like them to know before I arrived. The hotel is lovely, with a comfortable bed, crisp bedlinens and thick towels. Breakfast was delicious,prepared and presented with care. The location is truly stunning, with a breathtaking view from the room.

Homely memories

As a family we were returning to Bute to remember the past joys of 40 years)As a base the Bayview could not be better base with the welcome, hospitality, tremendous breakfast and the sea view from our room ( our daughters were comfortable in a garden view room). Despite the pandemic which closed down the restaurants and Mountstuart we survived on takeaways eaten on the terrace overlooking Rothesay Bay with Irene and Andrew providing the crockery and opening the bar. We explored the island tip to tip all remembering many great experiences of the past. We thank Irene and Andrew for making our stay homely and memorable. If you travel from Glasgow and have the time consider the route via Loch Lomond. We liked it so much we did it both ways.

My self and my sister had a lovely 2 nights at the Hotel. The owners were really friendly and had very good rules for following the rules for lockdown. The breakfast was great and I would certainly stay again.

Highly recommened for the breakfasts alone!

From booking to leaving communications were excellent. Hotel abd rooms were spotless and all Covid protection was done to the highest standard. Breakfast was really good and plentiful!!! We were in a garden view room which was pretty and had everything we needed, including hair straighteners which we didn't need, but thought was a brilliant touch! but if sea view were available would definitely book if we go again - magnificent views. Irene & Andrew are excellent hosts... nothing is too much trouble. Would definitely recommend and go back

The hotel is amazingly located and offers some incredible views! Irene and Andrew were super helpful and offer top notch service specially in these worrying times. Everything was perfect & safe! Will definitely come back soon!
