Cougar Land Motel is a quaint, nice motel in downtown Pullman, WA. Other businesses are convenient and within walking distance provided one is in good health. WSU campus is just over a mile away. The motel is old, appearing to have been built in the 1950s or 1960s. It has been updated with good beds, 50" flat screen TV and keyless locks. However, there are too few or poorly placed outlets for today's electronics. For instance, My spouse uses an air concentrator and I use a CPAP machine but only one could be used at night. Similarly, only one tablet or cell phone could be charged near the beds. Accessibilty can also be a challenge. The motel was built before accessibility laws were passed, so there is no elevator. Our bathroom had no grab bars, though fortunately the tub had anti-slip features. As to amenities, no housekeeping is offered if the stay is less than 3 nights and the supply of body wash/soap, shampoo and conditioner were the smallest I have seen in years. The stay was comfortable and convenient but not quite all we hoped for, so next time in or around Pullman, we will book a more modern motel.
