Hampton Inn has apparently adopted Hilton’s practice of blowing that horrid synthetic fragrance through the HVAC…. I’m allergic to synthetic fragrance, so staying there was brutal— even with doubling up on my allergy meds, I’m still completely congested, my face and eyes are puffy, my throat hurts, and I have a killer headache 12 house after checking out. But even if I wasn’t allergic to that rancid chemical, still, the smell is so strong I don't know how anyone would enjoy it. Walking into the room is like getting smacked in the face; and there is no escaping it, because the windows don’t open and the HVAC keeps shooting more smell into the room every time the air-conditioning turns on. Whose idea was this?! I already don’t stay in Hilton Tru hotels for that reason, but now I will add Hampton Inns to the list. Just clean your hotel – there’s no need to douse it in chemical perfume.
