I cannot fault the property or the food; however, the staff were not attentive, and the overall level of customer service did not reflect what I would expect from a hotel of this standard. I reported a flickering light in the bathroom of my room, and the receptionist informed me that nothing could be done until the next guest arrived. This left me feeling unimportant compared with future guests, and it made it difficult to get ready the following morning.
Additionally, the restaurant staff spoke very loudly, as though they were in the kitchen rather than in front of guests. When I approached a member of staff with a question, she told me that her colleague would be with me shortly instead of assisting me herself. All I wanted to ask was whether the hollandaise sauce contained cream. She eventually returned to explain their process of taking drink orders before food orders, but the interaction did not feel guest-focused or accommodating. Overall the staff are not friendly and not accomodating.
