The receptionist Niaomi was super friendly professional and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. The English breakfast was fresh and tasty. The steak restaurant was a nice surprise. The scenery over looking the water was picturesque. To anyone visiting Canvey I would recommend the Oysterfleet hotel

Easy check in. Small carpark but adequate. The room was good. Looking a bit tired in the main building, the roof probably needs some attention judging from the ceiling tiles. Shame the lift is inaccessible after midnight. Overall though it was good value for what we required.

Convenient for a quick stop over, friendly staff big clean room, parking good, but the bed was SO hard, both woke up in pain and the pillows were as flat as pancakes. For the price we paid, at least should have included a continental breakfast….. nothing! This was extra…….not at those prices! When you can travel 5 minutes to the seafront for a full English inc bread and hot drink for half the price they wanted.

A great night

I had a great stay at the Oyster Hotel. I went for one night and when we arrived the receptionist was warm and friendly and all the staff we had an interaction with were all very friendly. The bed was very comfortable and I slept great. Check out was at 11am so we got up and had breakfast (I had the vegan breakfast with eggs and it was ok, my partner had a full English and loved it). I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Staff were very friendly and check-in/out was smooth. Beds were a bit small for two people (doubles) but clean and comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. The shower is an over-bath type but is powerful and you get a great shower. Although the rooms are large, they are very dated and showing their age. If they were to be given a makeover they would be excellent rooms. The bar are is welcoming and the food looked really good.

My Mistake!

Upon arrival, I experienced a traveler’s worst nightmare. It was completely my fault, I had booked a room at the Oyster Fleet for the right day, but I had got the date wrong and booked my stay for the following week! The receptionist was extremely helpful in rectifying my mistake, even though it took some time to sort out. This a great hotel with great food available

The staff are lovely, the rooms although clean need updating the bed wasn’t comfortable and the fan in the bathroom made a noise for ages . Very thin walls . The breakfast was disappointing you weren’t asked how you liked your eggs or bacon , it was nice and warm , usually when you have breakfast in a hotel you get cereal and yogurts on a buffet to help yourself to , but nothing there just toast

Had a terrible nights sleep due to our family room being over the function hall which had incredibly loud music until 0036. Restaurant had decent food with very helpful staff but wouldn’t want to stay here again.

Decor/facilities in room are a little tired. There were silver fish in the bathroom on the floor. It smelt damp in the bathroom. It was only £60 so I’m not sure you’d get much more for the money. Beds were comfortable and linen was clean and fresh. Chap who checked us in was nice enough.
