Cocolobo was a wonderful intimate resort. We were very lucky to have been staying at this resort when the Covid 19 quarantine hit. The owners were kind enough to tell us all flights to and from the island had been cancelled. The airline and Expedia never bothered. The manger made sure we had food, ordering and picking up food for us daily. The owners. manager, and live in guests kept us updated and it was very much appreciated. Couldn't have asked for a better experience during what could have and probably was a disaster for many others.
The property was immaculate and location was great! Wish it would have had a few more amenities such as food and drinks but overall it was quiet, clean and the location couldn’t have been better to get away from it all :).
Beautiful location. Hotel is laid out providing 10 front rooms a nice view of ocean with nightly sunset show. Staff are tremendous - Knowledgeable about the island and helpful with bookings, recommendations, or anything you might need. Walking distance to MANY restaurants, shops, etc. Great place for a relaxing vacation.
The staff are wonderful, units are clean, property is beautiful
We spent 9 nts in the Mangrove studio (upper room w/2 dbl beds) at Cocolobo and overall enjoyed our stay. As each unit is privately owned, the amenities will vary. Cocolobo is close to West End (5-10 minute walk): far enough away to be quiet, but close to restaurants, dive shops, etc. The road is mostly paved & well lit at night. Our unit had 2 double beds that were comfortable, although the bottom sheets need new elastic as the bed had a tendency to come unmade during the night. The kitchenette was adequate w/ basic kitchenware: an abundance of mugs, glasses & plates, but lacking in few food prep essentials as there were no prep/paring knife, lacks a toaster, cutting board, can opener, colander (Lala was great at trying to procure/borrow some of these for our use while there). Little hard to cook in the eve as the only kitchen light was a dimly lit wall sconce. Other units may be better equipped? The semi-private balcony had nice ocean views and great sunsets, hammock, & small end table & chairs. It would’ve been nice to have a table & chairs either inside or out to sit at when eating or working on a laptop. The bathroom spacious with large shower & lots of hot water. The pool area was a great place to meet fellow guests, cool off in the pool, or just hang about during the heat of the day where it was cooler than the studio. Lala was a great help: dinner reservations, restaurant suggestions, arranged in-room massages, airport transfers, etc.
Cocolobo is within walking distance of all restaurants, bar, and activities but; far enough away to make you feel like you are alone in paradise. The sunsets from our deck were mesmerizing. Our room was charming with an island feel and a small kitchenette. The double sliding doors opened to an expansive, west facing deck with a couple of Adirondack chairs and a hammock. If you are looking for a laid back, relaxing spot near West End; Cocolobo is the spot.
Comfortable; peaceful and friendly boutique hotel in West End. Every room has an ocean view . The staff are extremely friendly to help you find the perfect things to do.
It was a beautiful spot on a quiet street, but five minute walk to everything
Amazing,Amazing,Amazing.
