Enjoyed our stay

No coffee in the lobby or in the room. No ice machine. The shower could use a deep cleaning. The location was good. A short walk to a nice beach.

The windspire inn provides good moderately priced accommodation in Port Elgin. The Wi-Fi is excellent. There are ample choices on the TV. The location is fabulous as it is about a four minute walk to the main beach. Easy drive to many restaurants and shops.

Staff greeted me as I arrived and got my key. Mani carried my bags to my room and was friendly and helpful as he explained the beach and local area. There's a restaurant available in the building which I didn't use but is very convenient. It's a short walk to the many beach areas with a bit of an incline to walk back up. This 1874 Inn is being renovated with new sinks, toilets, flooring etc. You get a great.deal for the price, convenience and friendly service.

If you want to be close to the beach, this place is ideal. Not much else. The staff are friendly.

Property is in a nice area with it being a walkable distance to the beach or to the downtown area. Unfortunately the queen room we stayed in had a mattress that should've been replaced long ago. (Completely roll into the middle) Prepare to have a sore back the next day. The bedding also smelled so strongly of some sort of deodorizer that we had to remove the comforter to avoid getting a headache from the scent. Take a sleep mask with you as well because there is bright light from the hallway coming in around the bedroom door all night long. Overall didn't get any sleep as you can hear every movement that anyone in the building makes. When we expressed our concerns to customer service we were told that the property was fully booked and they just brushed us off. We will not stay here again

The room was smaller than we anticipated; I suspect this had been a dormitory at some point. Nevertheless, they maximized the use of the space there was.

Windspire Inn was a great location. Only blocks from the beach. Our suite had a bedroom with queen bed, closet and TV. We were on the main floor with a door exiting to the parking lot. The seperate Kitxhen had a fridge, stove, dishwasher and kitchen table with 2 chairs. The kitchen was fully stocked woth cooking utensils and small appliances. We would definitely stay at th8s Inn again in the future.

Excellent location, but the hotel is shabby and outdated. The front porch is now part of a restaurant and was not accessible. Very disappointing stay.

dirty dirty rooms, very aggressive staff, drunk staff, yelling and screaming, noisy place...lots of drugs and drunkard

Impossible to justify this flop house as a motel!!! Staff need hotelier training. The owner is turning rooms into monthly cheap rents for "locals". There is no breakfast provided which is strange considering there is a dining room - and the "owners" run a fish and chip restaurant at this location. It was a lovely old quaint hotel close to a beach. At least it used to be clean. Bedding was well used and not spotless - no mattress cover in one case. It's finished as a motel.
