Reasonably-priced!
Very reasonably-priced motel! The owner and his family are from India -- Lovely folks! The room is always clean. I always stay here when I come to visit family.

The motel is convenient to downtown. My only problem suring this stay was that ghe jnternet was down, so there was no TV.

Best price by far. Decent, clean, safe room for the price. Friendly manager.

10/10 Exceptional

Owner was knowledgeable about the area and surrounding areas. We were late arrivals and he still took the time and efforts to ensure we had everything we needed.

6/10 Good

Wasn't a bad place just needs some upkeeping.
Melissa, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Despite other reviews, this place is fine. The staff is very nice and accomodating. The rooms are clean and somewhat updated but therevare old fixtures. My biggest complaint and suggestion for improvement is to provide coffee makers in the rooms and each room SHOULD have a deadbolt or chain lock. Overall tho my stay was perfectly fine and would stay again if needed.
Karen, 2-night trip

It was very quiet
Zion, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Pleasantly Surprised
I understood when I booked this that it was a no-frills place. While it certainly could use some modernization, it was rather clean and comfortable. Outlets in the room were questionable as well as the light switches but the air conditioning was excellent and the beds were comfortable, given their simple design.

8/10 Very good

Nice motel. Actually a bit nicer than what you would expect. We were in the newer building. AC didn’t work well so we were moved to another room. First room had a king bed, second room had 2 doubles.
CATHERINA, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

No coffee maker, no tissues ,no phone, bathtub was disgusting, paint chipping, terrible quality towels.
Susan, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Clean, cheap, but not too comfortable
The front desk staff were attentive and friendly. The room was generally clean, but the faucets and other fixtures were dingy and in disrepair. All the lamps had been poorly retrofitted with either LED tubes or CFL bulbs, and were blindingly bright and uncomfortable. The bed was nice and firm, but had a noisy metallic sound. The AC worked well, as did the microwave and fridge.
David, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

Outdated inside and out. Paint peeling, faucets squeak, air conditioner leaked, no garbage can in bathroom, no ice maker etc. We would not have stayed here if we had not already paid.
Debra, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Very nice owners. Property in great need of upgrades, but I wanted it for a sexual escapade, so it was ok for my needs. Very limited rooms with king beds so I couldn’t use my restraints on the full size bed bc my partner’s limbs were longer than the bed.
Kent, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

There was no dining area and the room wasn’t clean enough. There was no where to buy a drink from.
Latisha, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

don't know where to start, no security lock on inside door, bathroom and shower smelled awful, huge wasp were there, killed one in the room, noisy residents that live ther, dog barking, metal bed frames, and made terrible noises when you moved on the bed. get what you pay for here
david, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Will not recommend to anyone
Not very clean. Big roach in room. Pillowcase was stained. No soap, washcloth, no extra towels. Tv was the pits.
Olive, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

First, the positives - A working air conditioner that actual got the room cool unlike many brand name hotels! There was no thick and hot comforter to go with the hot room unlike brand name hotels. There was a working freezer and a refrigerator instead just a refrigerator, like brand-name hotels supply. There was no breakfast which I can't usually eat anyway. The beds were firm, which might bother some. However, it is the closest motel to historic Edenton. This is an old motel that needs many updates, so quite a few negatives. Some people might not be bothered by these, while others will be appalled. The Wifi was sporadic. The owner clearly didn't want to be bothered with complaints, saying he didn't know anything about computers. However, the Wifi would work for 30 minutes, then it will go down for 20 minutes. It would come back and then go down again. It usually only had one band even when working. There was no light switch near the door so one had to grope their way to one of only two lamps in the large room. There was not enough lighting. There was only one garbage can and it was hidden in the bathroom and there was none in the living room. The towels were rough. The bath towels were not near the shower, but hand towels were! The computer desk did not have a working electric outlet. The soap was small and thin and broke almost immediately upon usage. The floor was gritty. Would I go again? Perhaps, but I hope the Wifi will work better and I will bring soap.
