This hotel is very pet-friendly. Staff at desk were excellent and very hospitable! We booked the suite with adjoining rooms. This worked good but I think there should at least be a privacy curtain between the two. We stayed in March so there really wasn't any other people there so hot breakfast wasn't every day. There is a Grab N Go and the Cenex very near, both had hot food items for purchase. It's not a fancy hotel but for the size of Killdeer and surrounding area, I would definitely recommend and would stay there again!

Really clean room w nice amenties , though the room is slightly smaller. This is oerfect pit stop since it is right off freeway and close to 2 gas stations. Staff were nice and friendly. Killdeer is a small town and we visited on july 4th and it offered breakfast when all restaurants closed for the cslsbration.

The Hotel Dakota was a convenient location for an overnight on a recent business trip. The staff are friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable with nice linens and room was clean and had adequate space. The lobby and breakfast areas were also clean and welcoming. Check in woman friendly but knew very little about area. Subsequent staff was friendly, interested in feedback and knowledgeable of area. Facilities/breakfast standard and adequate, but room was very small with noisy AC and mini fridge. Most guests were oil workers with early start times. Not bad if you want a 7 a.m. start of the day, but not if you want to sleep in a bit. Located pretty far from "downtown"... not really walk-able. The Buckskin restaurant, however, was very recommendable.... very good food, very friendly workers and the highlight of Killdeer for us.

Friendly staff who is kind and helpful! The biggest drawback of this hotel is that you can hear noise from the hallways and the room above you. The staff works hard to keep it clean, so that isn’t the issue.

Overall, a great experience. Disclaimer is we had top floor room. Had it been a lower floor, the experience would have been horrid. Hard floors, cowboys with boots. Do the math. If you love quality, do not go to Garcia’s. Convince store coffeee tastes better, costs significantly less $. Great breakfast.
