I stayed at La Maison Royale Westlands and found it to be a decent value-for-money option in the Westlands area.
The check-in process was quick, efficient, and welcoming. The property appears modern from the outside and in the online photos, but in reality it is an older hotel made up of several connected buildings. While the age of the property is noticeable, it is generally well maintained.
Upon arriving in my odd-size room, I found that the refrigerator was not working and there was no in-room safe. To the hotel's credit, they responded promptly and provided both a replacement refrigerator and a safe shortly after I reported the issues.
My main concern was the room lighting, which was insufficient. There was also an unusual issue where the room's power appeared to be linked to a motion-sensor light outside. Whenever someone passed through the corridor and the external light activated, the room experienced a brief power flicker. I requested additional lighting, and housekeeping informed me that the bulbs would be replaced the following day. However, this did not happen during my stay, as I was later told the maintenance technician was unavailable. That said, the staff did provide a table lamp upon request.
Overall, while the hotel has some maintenance and infrastructure issues, the staff were responsive and tried to address concerns whenever possible. Considering the price and the location in Westlands, I believe it offers reasonable value for money.
