We stayed in the Cabana Suites building. The room was terrific. It was quiet, the fridge and coffee maker a great plus. The WiFi signal was weak and would drop off occasionally. Outside balcony was very nice but the noise from the main hotel venting was a distraction. Still nice to watch the waves come in. Great location.

We were in town for Country’s Calling and stayed in an ocean front suite. The location was walkable (exactly 1 mile to event entrance) and we loved being right on the beach. Plenty of parking, plenty of towels, good breakfast on site.

We stayed 3 nights. Never had room service. Place was very tired. Not exactly dirty but not up to par either. Wonderful bakery on 1st floor saved the stay. Ocean view was perfect. Locale and parking good. Upkeep sub par.

We had just gotten to our room maybe 15 minutes or so and I noticed my 3 year old granddaughter's feet were literally black with dirt and I took a picture of it.You're at the beach so a little sand when first getting to your room is one thing but I'm talking about dirt. I told the front desk person and showed them the picture. The manager was supposed to call me in the morning. I didn't hear from the manager so I went back to the desk, showed the manager the picture. I was told someone would come up to mop the floor. We left, came back and the cleaner was leaving as we got there. The floor didn't look like it had been mopped. I took several white towels that were the hotels and went over the floor. The towels were completely black, I took another picture, took it to the front desk and someone else came to clean the floor. Then finally the manager and another cleaning came to the room to clean the floor again. And I also aggravated that the outdoor pool closed at 7pm??? Never heard of that, normally 10pm, especially since it was bright daylight at 7pm. Won't go back there.

The location was great, it definitely needs some updates. The bathroom was not very clean, other guests stuff was left behind. It as very dusty, the baseboards were dirty, mold on the ceiling. It definitely needs updates. The kitchen sink is leaking. The balconies had no privacy. The staff was great, and location to the beach was amazing! I would stay here if maybe i had a different room.

All in all we had a great stay over labor day weekend with our two kids. Elevators were fast, water was warm in the shower, and the outdoor pool was so nice. Location is great and the restaurant bai-tea is in the hotel on the boardwalk. I would come back for sure.

The staff was very professional and offered excellent customer service. The room was very clean and towels were replenished and room cleaned on daily basis. The view was excellent as we were on 7th floor beachfront. Parking was available on site.

Hotel was in a great convenient location near the Boardwalk, great area of beach, chair and tent setup location, by ice cream, donuts, and bakery restaurant. Has great views of the ocean! I thought it had ease of parking but what really pissed me off was that parking was charged as extra besides the cost of the stay. This hotel doesn't offer coffee, or breakfast, or parking apparently, so be aware! I was also bothered by the long but narrow rooms so for a family of 4, it felt tighter than most rooms. Benefit was the kitchenette in the room. Beds were small and extremely uncomfortable and the room ac wasn't cool enough so made sleeping tough. The ac unit would leak onto the balcony with a leaking noise and made it seem dirty and unsafe as that cant be good to be happening on concrete long term. We stayed a few hotels down at the Hyatt Place a few years ago and now after no breakfast, no free included parking as I thought, and no super convenient lobby, no coffee, no convenient access to the pool etc, I would recommend the Hyatt Place more than the Commander. Workable for a vacation on a budget but if you're looking for more conveniences, dont choose the Commander.

The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Except for the hot water issue for 2 days everything was great. Accomodations were made to get a hot shower whenever we needed one.
