We had a lot of difficulty getting the hotel to arrange airport pick-up. We called the hotel directly 2 times, but no one spoke English to help us. I got my dad who speaks fluent Spanish to call and after a short discussion he got hung up on (or disconnected?). Finally I called Hotels.com for assistance. The first customer service agent said that she can't help because they do not deal with transportation, only the hotel booking. After calling again later I finally got someone at hotel.com to help us contact the hotel to make the arrangements for the hotel pickup. The hotel advertises $10.00 return airport transportation, but clearly the process is not in place to provide this service. We ended up paying $10.00 one way and then $5.00 return to the airport in the morning. Besides that everything at the hotel was fine. Check in was prompt even through the language barrier. The room was much larger than expected, with a queen, double and single bed for the two of us. The room was clean. The suicide shower was a little scary, but I survived. It would be nice to have some bottle water provided. The hotel is central to a number of small shops, restaurants and a cafe'/bakery, and a lovely town centre across the road. It was very quiet and the breakfast was fine (typical Ecuadorian breakfast of eggs, bun, butter and jam, with fresh fruite juice and coffee) at no extra charge. I would stay here again.
