I recently stayed at Makati Diamond Residence for over a week. While it’s rated five stars, my room felt run down, with dinged walls, cracked bathroom tiles, and a loose faucet.
A notable issue was the lack of power sockets; my phone charger broke after being plugged in beside the bed. I found it unfair that the housekeeper would be held responsible for the damage due to the hotel’s insufficient charging ports, so I resolved to buy a new charger myself.
Despite these issues, I’m giving the hotel five stars mainly for its outstanding staff. From the security team to the front desk and bartenders, everyone made me feel welcome. Special thanks to Jay and his co-bartender, as well as my housekeepers, Regina and Emmalyn, for their exceptional hospitality. Although I may choose another hotel during my next visit to the Philippines, the warmth of the staff truly stood out.
