I've stayed at this hotel before and was delighted, which is why I chose to stay here again. However, this time was different. Two young men were riding bikes through the parking lot and almost ran into us. We get our luggage and head into the lobby where we are assaulted by the same two riding their bikes down the hallway and through the lobby. In the room and there is no rack to put the suitcase on. I have to lay it on the floor. (I am handicapped, by the way. Finally, I head for the shower. The washcloth has holes. I have been on the road all day and am exhausted. I just go to bed. Credit where due...the bed was excellent. Get up the next morning and there is no coffee. Throw things in my case and go down to check out. I told the woman what had happened, and that I could have stayed 20 miles away for less than half what I paid there. Her response was that I wouldn't have gotten the same service. She was right about that! However, she did give me a complimentary night to make up for my experience. I decide to give the one more chance, so I stayed there again when I came back through a few days later. This time, I had a luggage rack, decent bath linens, and coffee. What I didn't have was air conditioning. The room never got below 75deg with a miserable humidity level. It is Louisiana after all. It was miserable. No wonder they were willing to give it away. Checkout personnel said they would let management know. I just know I'm done.
