We arrived in pouring rain and could not find a way in. After a phone call, we were shown the way into a ground floor apartment where there were 3 bedrooms, a store cupboard and a very small communal corridor with benches against the wall, some high stools and a tiny kitchen area where breakfast was 'prepared' and served. The room was small, bathroom tiny, but clean. The room was cleaned each day but towels not changed. Breakfast was croissants, toast if requested, a few individually pocketed cheeses (Babybel and Philadelphia) and salami (also in individual packets, some cornflakes, a very small selection of yoghurt and some fruit juices. However, there was not enough of anything to ensure that all guests could have their choice. For example, on our first day there was only one packet of butter. We also found eating breakfast perched on high stools facing the wall very uncomfortable. However, the young woman serving breakfast was very pleasant and the coffee was excellent.
The day before our checkout, we asked for a taxi to be booked for us on checkout and were told this would be OK. we waited over half an hour for the taxi and then had to find a taxi at the nearest Metro station as the b&b owner finally admitted that he couldn't get one for us.
The location was excellent, good bars and restaurants in the vicinity and a reasonable walking distance from many of the sights we wanted to see. Maybe for the price, this was the best we could do in such a good location.
