although the room and building are bit old, it was clean and the shower worked well. Perfectly comfortable bed, blackout blinds and enough space. I had a problem with my keybox checking in, but someone answered the support line quickly and sorted things out. Just understand that there is no reception, no extra services like back check or parking and it's a fine hotel.

Rent rum men väldigt skabbigt renoverat. Hela huset är rätt wonky Varken tv eller wifi fungerade och kodlåset på ytterdörren var dåligt och svårt att använda. Nära stranden 🙃

No staff on site but as expected. Door codes worked as indicated, although knowing the bedroom door needed a key which was stored on the ground floor would've been good to know before climbing four flights of stairs. More like shared housing with individual rooms than a hotel - could hear all the plumbing and foot movements of the room next door. Fine for an overnight stay.

The building and room 7 is a health and safety nightmare. On entry the fire control unit is at residents level, and not secured. The bannisters are all loose, and some of the stair carpets treads loose. Entering the room one will find there are no instructions to follow in the event of fire. No emergency lighting was evident. The floor in the room was uneven. The bathroom had a lavatory that was shoved up against the wall on one side, thus one could not straddle it. The tiles of the bathroom were not grouted/sealed at the edges- making for a rough edges should one fall, and a breeding ground for pathagenic bacteria. Also, in the bathroom, other tiles have sharpe edges, posing further risk. The overall decor very poor.

Property-old and tired. Room-I booked double deluxe not sure about deluxe, it was a small room with a double bed at least 1/2 feet away from the wall. Also felt the room was on a slope. Bathroom-very small, a notice saying please close the shower door properly, when you close them, there is at least 0.5cm gap. Toilet, when you seat down on it, it was rocking. Shower itself is very small, not suitable for a person who is large or tall. Location-brilliant close to town and beach. More to the point for my stay, it did its purpose, sleep, shower and toilet. Would I stay here again, yes and book 1 of the other rooms looking onto the green.

The bed was fine. It was a room only booking so no food was part of the stay. The location was good, but a shame about the number of people who use the green space outside to smoke marijuana. Ideal for a short stay, 1 or 2 nights, but not longer.

Stayed for night in an un suite room and it was exactly what i needed. Was trying to arrange early check in at last minute and couldn't get a response to messages or calls. Other than that, it was great and I would stay again.

Sweet room close to shops.

It was a sweet little room, with small balcony to front over looking some greenery. Bed was soft, plenty of sockets and WiFi and lighting. Wasn’t much noise when we stayed so slept well. The only issue was the smell coming from the en-suite which wasn’t very nice for the price that was charged . Was close to shops and Brighton centre where we were watching a comedy show.

Good option if you just need to put your head down for the night. Clean and in a great location. This is an unstaffed property where you’ll receive entry instructions a day before. Someone is on call when you need them and they were super friendly. As it’s an old building with multiple rooms, it could potentially get loud and feel unsafe depending on the type of guests that are staying. Overall very good and would stay again if the price remains competitive

Clean room but the bathroom door did not shut properly and there was a nasty, damp smell coming from the drain in the shower ( it was a basement room). This was really off putting! Bedroom was good , but would have been excellent if there was a mini fridge ( there is room for one under the tea area). Great location though!

Bed Broken

The bed was broken and wonky, the lower half had a dip of about 7 cm because the base was made up of two separate parts, and the matress was more like a futon. Otherwise did the job.

Pros Good location - close to beach and main streets of Brighton Quiet - no noise from bars or nightlife Cons Terrible Mattress - uncomfortable/old Housekeeping - We didn’t have enough toilet paper to last the duration so had to buy more (housekeeping has to be requested, but didn’t think we should need to for such a basic necessity) Bad comms - I requested housekeeping for a specific time (during the day), which the hotel confirmed but they didn’t communicate it with their housekeeper so housekeeping was not done until the afternoon while we were resting Be aware - no elevator, no breakfast offered

Nice, comfy room but not happy with smoke smell

Great location and it was perfect for an overnight stay for my mums birthday. The beds were very comfy. We were just a bit disappointed with the cleanliness of the room - it stunk of smoke. We opened the windows and I sprayed my perfume (not ideal) but we couldn’t get rid of it. Hopefully just a blip as I’d stayed here before and it wasn’t an issue.

Really poorly maintained rooms. My room, number 4 stank of old drains and the smell in the bathroom made me feel sick. Noisy location and no sound proofing in the building. Definitely not worth over £100 and wouldn’t stay again. I stay in Brighton most weeks.
