Very quaint, historic accommodation and furnished to suit the style. Very clean and convenient to everything - just a short walk to the nut track, hotel, wine bar, beach and providore. Couple of issues but sorted on the second day.

I loved the proximity to the cafe and shops. The view was also special. Our room was so comfortable. The leather recliner couch was a treat with throw rugs. A full kitchen was an added bonus. We really enjoyed our stay.

Large cottage but with no daylight or outside area. Comfortable bed, good bathroom and excellent shower. Towels were excellent quality. Easy to walk to attractions and safe and quiet neighbourhood.

Makes you feel like your at home-sweet-home.

We expected a hotel-style room but walked into a wonderfully wood furnished cottage-like apartment with large 50s style full kitchen/dining room, living room with leather recliners and effective electric fireplace, comfortable bedroom, large bathroom with claw tub, and separate shower. All of the above connected by a great hallway. We stayed an extra night but could have easily rented for a week or more.

Lovely view from our cottage

Stayed in a lovely cottage with a great ocean view. Generous amount of food was left to make our breakfast. Lots of fruit so also made a nice fruit salad. I really liked this cottage but only negative was there was too many spider webs inside for my liking. (Would be good if cleaners did a good spray and then got rid of them)

We stayed in the studio cottage. It is with good ambiance and very spacious unit with full stocked kitchen facilities. The sea view is excellent and all made our stay very pleasant. There was a recent ownership transition and check in was through a phone call. We booked another unit originally with welcome gift and that was changed and we only found out after checking in. The new owner called and apologised and promised some compensation but never heard again. There was no instruction on WiFi connection and eventually connected but didn’t work well. Stanley is unique place to visit and this cottage made it very walkable to all attractions easily.

Its infested with spiders. I know its a cottage in a small town, but there are cabins in the woods that were built better than this. Gaps and cracks in the ceilings and walls. Terrible insulation and bugs everywhere. I dont want to deal with a giant spider the size of my palm crawling on me whilst im on holiday. It was so dusty and there were cobwebs everwhere. And the shower? you'll be looking up to see spiders all over the cealing too.

Uncomfortable

Beautiful ocean views from the lounge and dining area (best thing I can say about this cottage) but old. You have to walk like a crab while bending over to get into bed in the main bedroom upstairs due to the low, angled ceiling. Shower cubicle was 2/3 normal shower size so very, very tight and uncomfortable for an adult. Owner forgot to send an SMS with check-in details, so we had to phone him. No answer but he phoned back quickly. There were no staff onsite. The cafe and gallery were shut. There was no one to help if you needed help. When I rang the owner the second time it was to ask about where I should find the “ample breakfast” that was promised on our booking. His reply was “We haven’t done that for awhile now and I thought that was taken off the listing but there was a computer glitch a few months ago and breakfast was listed”. Nothing was offered to us because “it was complimentary” he said. Chocolates were also promised on our booking, but they weren’t provided either. Port was promised on the booking too and it was available, however it was in a decanter, unlabelled and who knows what was actually in it. 10am checkout was strictly stated on a sign within the cottage. Late checkout incurs a $15 per 15 minute fee, so don’t check-out late!
