I had a very disappointing experience at Combate Beach Resort in Cabo Rojo during my stay on February 16, 2025 (Itinerary 73032998583682). Despite arriving at 1:00 PM—fully aware that check-in was at 3:00 PM—our room was not made available until 5:00 PM, a frustrating two-hour delay with no clear explanation or apology from the staff.
To make matters worse, customer service was unhelpful and rigid. Instead of accommodating guests' needs, they force you to follow their strict rules, leaving no room for flexibility or consideration. It felt as if guests had no say in their own stay, which made the experience even more frustrating by pushing us the guest into a room capacity not needed or requested and yes, we had to pay additional money.
For a place that promotes itself as a quality resort, this was far from a welcoming or professional experience. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone looking for good service and a stress-free vacation.
